Ghostbusters (1984) trailer recut as a hardcore horror film is terrifying.

Image
Buckle in and get ready for Ghostbusters like you have never seen it. Mashable has created a new trailer for the 1984 classic that turns the film into a hardcore horror film. They did an incredible job and I'd be curious as to what the whole film would be like if this were the approach that director Ivan Reitman took.
"Ain't afraid of no ghost? Better think twice! This classic comedy about a group of paranormal scientists, gets a very terrifying and retro trailer remix! This new horror version may not tickle your funny bone, but it will definitely put a chill in your spine!"

Sit back and get ready to enjoy one of the best orchestral covers to the Doctor Who theme that you are ever going to hear. Image
CineFix takes a deep look at The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and it's film adaptation to discuss what exactly is different between the two. Dive into J.R.R. Tolkien's classic story and see why some fans were puzzled when watching Peter Jackson's adaptations. On big difference the video will go into is the pacing of time within the two different stories (book and film). You'll be very surprised at how different this particular area is. So, what's the difference??

Director Joe Russo discusses Thanos' lack of armor in Avengers: Infinity War.

Image
Every time we have seen Josh Brolin's Thanos in Marvel films he has been wearing ornate armor that gave him an intimidating look. However, when his new look was revealed at the D23 Expo he was not wearing any armor. While talking to IGN director Joe Russo explained why Thanos is no longer wearing the armor that we are used to seeing him in.
""[Thanos] has a more casual approach in this film, and it's very philosophical for him," explained Russo at San Diego Comic-Con. "It's part of his character definition. It's a spiritual journey for him to collect the Stones, and one with which he doesn't need armor. Once he starts acquiring the Stones, he doesn't need armor in the same way he did when he was a war lord. It's a very symbolic costume."" What do you think of Thanos' new look for Avengers: Infinity War?

New trailer for Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars brings fans back to the Bug Wars.

Image
Get ready to jump back into the Bug Wars with this all new trailer for Starship Ttroopers: Traitor of Mars! I'm a big fan of the original film so it's exciting to see the franchise return with this CG animated feature.
"Casper Van Dien and Dina Meyer return as the voices of Johnny Rico and Dizzy Flores in this new animated movie based on the classic film. Coming to theaters one-night-only on August 21, available on Digital August 22, and out on 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray and DVD September 19." It'll be interesting to see how they address Dizzy Flores being alive after being killed in the first film or if they are just going to glance over that. Either way, this is a film I will be keeping an eye out for.

Warner Bros. officially sets the release date for Wonder Woman 2.

Image
The official date has been set by Warner Bros. for Wonder Woman 2 for December 13, 2019. Actress Gal Gadot will be back to reprise her role as Wonder Woman and director Patty Jenkins will be returning to the franchise as well to direct the sequel. There is almost no information known on the film at this moment except that it will take place in the 1980s during the Cold War. It'll be interesting to see how the character does with the back and forth time settings from modern day with the other DC heroes to previous war settings in her own films.

Are you excited for a Wonder Woman sequel?

The three poster set for Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War comes together to create an epic cast poster.

Image
All three posters released at San Diego Comic-Con for Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War have finally come together to create one epic look at the film's cast. The poster features all of the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Winter Soldier, War Machine, Loki, Doctor Strange, and of course Thanos and the Black Order (or "The Children of Thanos" I believe they were referred to at D23).

This film is going to be legendary.

Avengers: Infinity War will be in theaters on May 4, 2018.

The twelfth Doctor teams up with the first in the trailer for the Doctor Who Christmas special Twice Upon A Time.

Image
Sit back and get ready for a tease of Peter Capaldi's final adventure as the Doctor. The first full length trailer for the Christmas episode of Doctor Who has been released and it is filled with very interesting footage. Why interesting? Well, it's not every day that you see two Doctor's interacting with each other is it? David Bradley does an amazing job as the first Doctor and there's even a surprise appearance from one of the Doctor's companions thought to be gone. It'll be fun to see how they work her into the story given the exit that we saw her take. (It's just going to be timey whimey time travel magic isn't it?) The Christmas special is titled Twice Upon A Time and the trailer is below for you to enjoy.

Artist Andy Park reveals a new Marvel poster for Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Image
Artist Andy Park tweeted a new Marvel poster that he had the pleasure of painting for Ant-Man and the Wasp and it is incredible. Revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, this poster features all the film characters but you'll notice that Ant-Man is actually taking the form of Giant Man here which pretty much confirms that we'll be seeing Giant Man in the film. The Wasp is looking great in her suit and I have to say that I am excited for this film. I really enjoyed the first film so I can't wait to see where they go with the sequel.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will be in theaters on July 6, 2018.

New Marvel poster for Avengers: Infinity War shows off a bearded Steve Rogers and blonde Black Widow.

Image
Marvel revealed a new poster for the upcoming film Avengers: Infinity War and it features some of fans' favorite characters. You have Star-Lod, Rocket Racoon, Drax, Groot, Thor, Loki, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, and last but certainly not least Steve Rogers and Black Widow. You'll notice that the last two certainly have a new look.

At the moment I am hesitant to call Steve Rogers "Captain America" because of his fugitive status and the fact that he may have left the name behind when he went into hiding. You certainly noticed that Steve is now sporting a full beard. Could he be going by his comic alias of "Nomad" in this film or at least have the name dropped in a joke? Secondly, you'll see that Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, has blonde hair in this film. Could this be something to do with her in hiding as well or is this a clever nod to the second comic Black Widow, Yelena Belova?

What are you thoughts on this poster and Steve Rogers and Black Wi…

Marvel reveals the first look at Captain Marvel, film setting, villains, and the return of Nick Fury for her solo film.

Image
Strap in Marvel fans, Kevin Feige has revealed some amazing things for the upcoming Captain Marvel film that will star Brie Larson as Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel. Several official art pieces reveal our first look at Captain Marvel and she looks absolutely amazing. She was ripped right from the comic and I am loving it! Other art pieces revealed that the villain in the film will be the Skrull race which is going to be incredible. The Skrulls are an alien race that have shape-shifting abilities that want to invade Earth while in a prolonged war with the Kree race (seen in Guardians of the Galaxy and Agents of SHIELD).

The announcements didn't stop there either. It was revealed that this film would be taking place in the 1990's and that Samuel L. Jackson would be making a return as Nick Fury. One change to his character that was mentioned was that Fury will still have both eyes in this film.

This is a lot of exciting news! It's interesting that they are putting Captain Ma…

Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne are confirmed for Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Image
During their big Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con Marvel made several casting announcements but two that stood out were the casting of Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne for the upcoming film Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Michelle Pfeiffer has been cast as Janet Van Dyne, the original Wasp and wife of Hank Pym. Joining Pym on his Ant-Man adventures she saved him and others but was lost in the sub-atomic Quantum Realm. I'm curious to see if Janet will be coming back in flashbacks or if they will have figured out a way to bring her back from the Quantum Realm.

Meanwhile, Laurence Fishburne was cast as Dr. Bill Foster. Foster is a scientist who worked alongside Hank Pym and became a size-changing hero known as Black Goliath and eventually took over the mantle of Giant Man from Pym.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will be in theaters on July 6, 2018.

Warner Bros. and DC announce that The Flash film will be titled Flashpoint.

Image
In a surprise move, Warner Bros. and DC have revealed that the upcoming Flash film will now be titled Flashpoint. That's right! In a bold move they will adapt the Geoff Johns storyline for the DCEU (DC Extended Universe).

"Flashpoint was a 2011 series written by DC Entertainment President and Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns and illustrated by Andy Kubert. In the comic series, Barry Allen goes back in time to try to prevent his mother’s murder. However, time gets altered where Barry is no longer the Flash, and it creates an alternate reality for his Justice League friends." This is a bold move indeed by Warner Bros. and DC. I personally think it is just way too soon to be introducing Flashpoint in the DCEU and that it is crazy that they would do that particular storyline as The Flash's first solo film. Don't get me wrong, the comic story arc is amazing but to bring it to the big screen this early is rushing it. Could Warner Bros. be using this storyline to alt…
