Star-Lord cosplayer dances around New York City in "Guardians of the Galaxy in Real Life"!

Check out this amazingly fun video of a Star-Lord cosplayer dancing around the streets of New York City! The cosplay is extremely well done and he even managed to find the exact SONY Walkman and headphones used in the film! What makes this all even better is that Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn tweeted this video himself along with the caption, "Love this guy!" This video by itself was a lot of fun but getting recognized by the film's director make it that much better! Enjoy the video below.

"This video took a lot of my time and energy. It took over 4 months to make the costume, shoot and edit the video.   The headphones and walkman are the same kind used in the movie. They are very rare, but thanks to some awesome bidding on eBay, I was able to get my hands on them!  The boots and belt were handmade. We found some templates from an online forum and bought the leather at a local store. It took about 3 weeks to make them.  The pants were an awesome online…

Bryan Singer casts Jean Grey, Cyclops and Storm for X-Men: Apocalypse!

Word spread fast of the actors and actresses going in to audition for various roles in the upcoming film X-Men: Apocalypse that will be directed by Bryan Singer. Recently we have heard a lot of talk concerning the characters of Jean Grey, Scott Summers (aka Cyclops), and Ororo Munroe (aka Storm).

It was announced late last night but the search is over and the actors have been chosen! These characters will still be young in the Apocalypse storyline (said to take place in the 80's) so a young cast had to be selected. Chosen for the roles were Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, and Alexandra Shipp as Storm. Turner is known for her work on Game of Thrones while Sheridan had a great performance in Mud, and Shipp may be best known for her portrayal of Aaliyah in a biopic of the singer's life.

Meet our new and brilliant young mutants: @Alexshipppp as #Storm@SophieT as #JeanGrey and @TyeSheridan as #Cyclops. #XmenApocalypse

Supergirl is cast for the upcoming CBS Supergirl show!

Since the announcement that CBS was looking to create a new show centered around the DC Comics heroine Supergirl, fans have been wanting to know who they would cast for the part of Supergirl.

All rumors and speculation can now be put aside as CBS has officially announced that actress Melissa Benoist (Glee, Whiplash) has been cast as Supergirl, aka Kara Zor-El!

Supergirl is the cousin of Superman and was also born on the planet of Krypton. She managed to escape the planet before it was destroyed and has been hiding out on Earth. Since her arrival to her new home she has hid her powers but now she has decided to be the hero that she knows that she can be.

From what I have recently heard the show will play off almost like a "cop show" where Supergirl is fighting off lower level threats and crimes as she grows up and develops her abilities.

How do you feel about casting Melissa Benoist as Supergirl? I think she certainly looks the part and she has already dyed her hair blonde fo…

Venom gets an all new look for the Guardians of the Galaxy comics!

Venom may have started out in Marvel Comics as a villain and slowly worked his way up the hero ladder but as a member of the new Guardians of the Galaxy, Venom is a full fledged hero. Being worn by Flash Thompson, this Venom has a whole new role in today's comics and Marvel has decided that with that new role should come a whole new look. He originally appeared as a hulking monster and recently appeared as a government soldier wearing tactical armor. Those days however are over.

Artist Valerio Schiti took a moment to discuss the new look and share some sketches of what it will look like in Brian Michael Bendis' series Guardians of the Galaxy.
"I suppose that the main reason for this change is the new readers—at least that’s what [GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY writer] Brian Bendis said! The new generations of readers have a totally different idea of Venom; most of them don’t even know that once he was a bad guy. In this moment nobody perceives him like a monster, everybody knows…

Amazingly detailed video shares the comic history of every X-Man ever!

IGN has created an impressively detailed video that breaks down the X-Men team from Marvel Comics and shows you every X-Man that has ever been on the team. The video shows you The mutant, their real names, abilities, when they joined/left, and their first appearance in the comics. Besides giving you all this great information there is a voice over that shares other notable details about the character and their history. IGN clearly did their homework here and I am sure that Charles Xavier would be proud.

Watch the epic space battle above Endor from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi as a single scene without the ewoks.

There are many great space battles in the Star Wars franchise but one that always stands out with fans is the final Death Star battle from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. The one thing however that stands in the way of that battle is that it constantly cuts to the forest moon of Endor to show the audience what is happening with the small rebel group and the ewoks.

Thanks to a very dedicated fan you can now watch the entire space battle with no interruptions! Some of the transitions are not as smooth as others but that did not stop me from really enjoying this video. I love the ewoks but watching this was great.
"The epic space battle above the moon of Endor. The Rebel Alliance gathers up its entire fleet of cruisers and fighters led by Lando Calrissian in the Millennium Falcon and overseen by Admiral Ackbar in the Mon Calamari Cruiser Home One to destroy the second Death Star. Unfortunately by the time they get to the "incomplete/nonoperational" Death Star t…

Daredevil video shows you what happens when you step on lava. The result will shock you!

It's time for some science!

This fascinating video shares footage of a couple of daredevils who hiked up the Kilauea Volcano in the Hawaiian Islands and stepped on lava. That's right. They stepped on molten lava!
"When the lava emerges from one of the vents at Kilauea, it comes out at 700 to 1,200 °C (1,292 to 2,192 °F), and begins to make its way to the path of least resistance.   This video shows how pressure applied to this dense material only causes a slight indentation. While this may not be surprising (it is liquid rock), I think that many people think of lava as more of a hot-watery-like substance. You would never fall into a lava lake the way you would a swimming pool, the molten rock is much more dense, so you would simply land on it, sink a little, and be burned." I know that lava is not as fluid a liquid as water, duh, but it is still amazing to see someone freely step on it! If you had the opportunity to do this, would you take it? Take a look at the vide…
