Meet David Morrissey as The Walking Dead's Governor in his first official photo

Fans of The Walking Dead on AMC will be happy to see that the first official photo of David Morrissey on set as The Governor has been released. Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead comic, had the following to say to fans who are worried that AMC's version of the Governor may not live up to his comic counterpart.
"The Governor in the show is definitely going to be The Governor in the comic," Kirkman told us following the Season 2 finale. "I think that he's definitely going to be a character that people love to hate and are absolutely entertained by, but also somewhat terrified of. He's definitely going to be a very important character and a very nuanced character. We are not going to be watering him down." At first glance at the photo, I am just not sure what to think. My initial reaction to the casting remains the same as I always pictured the Governor as a Hispanic character. I don't know why but he always looked like it to me. Se…

First official BBC Doctor Who photo of the Doctor with his new companion

Although fans had recently seen Doctor Who set photos revealing some new clothes for the Doctor and the first glimpses of his new companion, the BBC has graciously given us our first official photo of both the Doctor (Matt Smith) and his new companion Clara (Jenna-Louis Coleman). (We are still waiting on official confirmation that Jenna's name will be Clara on the show.)
"We caught up with Matt Smith who told us, ‘It [filming on the new series] is going well. Jenna brings a really different energy to the show – one which I think is very interesting.’

Shooting is well-underway for the Doctor’s latest adventures and the second read-through featuring Jenna-Louise Coleman as the new companion took place earlier this week at the BBC’s Roath Lock Studios." I am really enjoying the Doctor's new look in the long jacket and waist coat. Very stylish and looks great! And Jenna looks absolutely adorable in this photo! If you want to download a 16x9 or a 4x3 wallpaper of thi…

Fan's 8mm behind-the-scenes footage from the Return of the Jedi set [video]

Star Wars was bigger than ever when George Lucas started filming Return of the Jedi. Everything to do with filming was kept a secret. However, one group of fans were able to find out that a film by the name of "Blue Harvest" was filming in Buttercup Valley in the Arizona dessert and went down to check it out hoping that it would be more than a unknown film. Filmmaker Jeff Broz had brought along with him his 8mm camera and had it rolling for what turned out to be a fans dream come true.

Stumbling onto the set of Return of the Jedi, these fans were able to see a few of the Tatooine scenes being filmed. Although it took quite some time, Broz's video has finally hit the internet. It is just over 7 minutes long and has no sound but he was able to capture some amazing footage. You can see Boba Fett flying around, Luke taking on some Gamorrean Guards and precticing his kicking skills, R2-D2 shooting Luke's lightsaber from his head, and Slave Leia in action.

Peter Jackson releases another video blog from The Hobbit [video]

Peter Jackson has released a new video blog from the set of The Hobbit and it gives fans a very good look around the set. From the actors' trailers, to the film lot, and all the way to WETA Worshop, fans get a good in depth look at what is going on in New Zealand. While walking through the sets, fans are even given a look at what will be the amazing Mirkwood Forest and even see some scenes being filmed. But don't worry, there are no spoilers. The video blog is lengthy at 14 minutes but it's a great video and you do not notice the time as it goes by. There is a funny little twist at the end that leads up to an alternate scene for our favorite elf in action being shot. Still no spoilers. But quite funny. Enjoy!

E3 2012 - Halo 4 trailer and gameplay [video]

Microsoft kicked things off at E3 with the new Halo 4 by 343 Industries. Fans were wary of this isntallment for Master Chief since Bungie was no longer in control but I think it's safe to say that the Halo franchise is in good hands. The live action trailer they revealed was nice and the gameplay demo looked great! I got a little bit of a Metroid Prime feel from the demo but that's a great thing in my opinion. Check it out and let me know what you think!

E3 2012 - Fight as your favorite DC super hero in Injustice: Gods Among Us [video]

The folks over at Nether Realm (who brought us the much loved Mortal Kombat series) are at it again and this time they are bringing the fight back to the DC Universe. Injustice: Gods Among Us will feature all of your favorite DC heroes pitted against each other in an all out brawl. Ed Boon from Nether Realm promises that once we see the story and the reasoning behind everything, that everything will makes sense and we'll understand why these heroes are fighting each other and how they can pull off some of the moves that we see in the trailer (such as Superman knocking people into orbit and back and having them survive). He also stated that this is its own game and will definitely have a different feel from Mortal Kombat. I have to say that this looks cool and I would be willing to give it a try.

E3 2012 - ZombiU for the Wii U [video]

Zombies are infiltrating the Wii U courtesy of Ubisoft. Ubisost announced that they are bringing their very first game back to life in the form of ZombiU. In 1986 Ubisoft released a game by the name of Zombi which became critically acclaimed. Now they are brushing off the dust and giving the zombies a updated look in this impressive new trailer! "A fact-sheet sent to us about the 2012 version, meanwhile, confirms that it's a first-person shooter, with an emphasis on horror and survival as you fight through hordes of the undead in London. There'll be a multiplayer mode where one player uses the GamePad for an overhead view, moving zombies strategically, while the second player uses the Wii U Pro Controller to fight for survival on the ground. You'll be able to customise zombies with well-known faces using the GamePad's camera, and if you die you can hunt your old character's zombie down, reclaim the body and in the process retrieve your loot." E3 2012 - SONY announces cross controller for the PS3 and PS Vita

SONY announced at E3 today that they will be promoting a new feature for the Playstation 3 and PS Vita called 'cross controller'. So far we know that this will work with Little Big Planet 2 and Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale

For Little Big Planet 2 and Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale this will be a special free DLC which will allow cross-control between the PS3 and PS Vita versions of the game. With this cross control, gamers can play with either the PS3 controller or the PS Vita. If you are using the PS Vita, you can implement the Vita's touch and gyro control into the PS3 version of the game. If you have saved files on either version that can be shared between the two. This is definitely an interesting feature and it'll be fun to see how this plays out.

E3 2012 - Ubisoft presents Watch Dogs trailer and gameplay [video]

Ubisoft also premiered a brand new game that they are working on titled Watch Dogs. The game looks very interesting and has some very fun twists to it. So far no platforms have been tied to this game but the 10 minute demo that was shown looked great. The game appears to be set in an urban city at night and has an open world for you to explore. One of the very interesting twists that this game has is that the internet can be used as your weapon. You can turn on a hacking mode and target anybody around you. At this point you can learn their information from their digital footprint. Everything from names, age, salary, ect. It'll be really interesting to see how you use this in the game and what the story will turn out to be!

Marvel has given their fans the first official look at the Iron Man 3 set with this great set photo. The photo shows us Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark standing in his workroom looking towards the various Iron Man suits that he has created.

Iron Man 3 will hit theaters on May 3, 2013.
