Every Power Ranger in History Enters the Brawl

I came across this and couldn't not post it. It makes for great nostalgic laughter. Everybody when they were little watched an episode or two of The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I watched for a few years when the American craze was going on in the 90's. The American series just started their 19th season.

Hopping over to Japan where this all started 34 years ago, yes 34, a new Super Sentai series has started celebrating its 35th year called Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. The series starts off with an epic war battle where every single ranger in the 34 year history enters the brawl against an evil empire attacking Earth. I think I even saw Viewtiful Joe fighting at one point. The story starts after this battle where the current team, a team of Pirate Rangers, have the ability to transform into any Ranger there has been. Not just a Ranger of their color, any Ranger. So they've basically made these pirate Rangers the ultimate team. It's not like I am going to watch this but t…

Official The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Logo

Nintendo fans and The Legend of Zelda enthusiasts let out a sigh of relief during this years Game Developer Conference (GDC) keynote address. This years address was given by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. Not only did Iwata show some screen shots of Ocarina of Time 3D, a new trailer for Skyward Sword, but he also mentioned that this year is The Legend of Zelda's 25th Anniversary.

Along with the acknowledgment that this year was the anniversary he revealed the official 25th Anniversary logo (seen below) and gave a promise that game designer and creator of The Legend of Zelda series, Shigeru Miyamoto, was working hard on something special for the anniversary. No hints were given as to what Miyamoto was working on but it is clear that it is something entirely separate from Ocarina of Time 3D and Skyward Sword. I have confidence that Miyamoto will do something truly fantastic for this franchise's anniversary.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Trailer 2

Nintendo has heard fan's pleas for another look at Link in action and have answered back. Nintendo has released a second trailer with gameplay for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword during this year's Game Developers Conference.

The trailer shows us some interesting features for the new Zelda title. It's clear that the Wii MotionPlus is going to play a large role in this game from sword fighting and puzzles to balancing on a rope. You also see a new 'shield meter' at the top left of the screen which is quite interesting. Last we see a new character sitting around the trailer though no information is known about this character yet.

Stay tuned for a future post discussing thoughts, excitement and concerns for Skyward Sword.
