Secret Cinema presents a jaw dropping shadow cast of Back to the Future!

I have been to a few shadow casts around Long Island and New York City but this has to be one of the best I have ever seen. Sadly, I was not there in person! This past summer at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, Secret Cinema put on a outdoor shadow cast of the film Back to the Future that will make every fan out there wish they truly had a time traveling DeLorean to go back and attend this event. (A shadow cast is when a movie is played on a large screen and costumed actors act out the film in front of the audience in sync with the film.)

Secret Cinema not only invited everyone out to the event in 50's clothing to really make the experience authentic but they actually built the town of Hill Valley! The video below shows off what an amazing event this was and shows both the fun before the film as well as the shadow cast acting out the film. I really hope they do something in the New York City area sometime because I would love to attend and know many friends who would join.

Check out the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica with digital restoration and CG upgrades!

Battlestar Galactica came back in 2004 and was a hit with the fans but older fans never forgot about the original 1978 series. Visual effects artist Adam "Mojo" Lebowitz created a demo reel of what recreating the original series with digitally restored footage and a few CG upgrades would look like and the results are spectacular! Lebowitz worked on many sci-fi television shows and movies including Babylon 5, Serenity, Star Trek: Voyager, was even a CGI artist on the 2004 Battlestar Galactica. This demo reel was created to show what it would look like if a special edition dvd/bluray was made for the series and I hope this catches the eye of all the right people.

Watch Billy Boyd's "The Last Goodbye" music video for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

Billy Boyd, the actor who played Pippen in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, returned to Middle Earth to record a credits song for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. The official video for his song "The Last Goodbye" has now been released and it is great!
"“We had to get the song just right, to send the audience out of the movie theater in the most perfect way we could,” says Boyd, in an e-mail. “But I don’t think it was until I was sitting on the long flight down to New Zealand that I started to really think about what the song would be. Luckily all the Middle-earth movies were on the flight so I could remind myself of them as I flew south.”" It truly must be an honor to Boyd to have the last goodbye to fans of this franchise and the song of course made him reflect on his time with the franchise.
"“The Lord of the Rings films were such a special time for me in many ways—working with Pete, Fran and Philippa, being in New Zealand, being part of Professor T…

Howard the Duck will be returning with his own Marvel comic in 2015!

Fans exploded with delight when Howard the Duck made his cameo at the end of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. For quite some time, people were talking about that scene as much as the main characters themselves, if not more. This popularity was gotten the folks over at Marvel hard at work and the secret is now out! Marvel will be bringing the character back to the comics with his own series!

In 2015 Howard the Duck will get his own series that is being developed by Chip Zdarsky (Sex Criminals) and Joe Quinones. The series is said to follow the adventures of Howard as he becomes a private investigator in the Marvel Universe.
"He’s an everyman who happens to be a duck! He’s angry, exasperated, and he’s had it up to here with the world around him, but he’s trapped here! Infinitely relatable!  I love the contrast of Howard against both the normal world of us hairless apes and the weird worlds of Man-Things and Dr. Stranges and Spider-Mans. Cause he doesn’t fit into either, really.…

Gotham showrunner states killing established canon characters is not off the table!

Gotham has been a smash hit for Fox and fans are becoming loyal watchers of the show. As fan favorite characters enter the show, fans have gotten more attached to the developing story and anxious to see what will happen next. However, a recent interview with Gotham showrunner Bruno Heller reveals that not all characters are safe on the show.

Fans came into Gotham expecting that the established canon characters (Penguin, Selina Kyle, Victor Zsasz, Harvey Dent, ect.) would all be safe in the show from death since they are alive later in the timeline to meet Batman. This no longer seems to be the case.

Entertainment Weekly asked Bruno Heller,
"“Before Gotham premiered there was some discussion about how the show cannot kill any members of its cast of iconic characters, since the story is a prequel. And you had a great reply to that by saying, 'It’s sad thing if you can only generate suspense by killing people.' I’m wondering now that you’ve dug more into the season and are ju…

Read a detailed description of the Ghostbusters 3 script from 2009!

Various scripts for Ghostbusters 3 have been circulating Hollywood for some time and back in 2009 writers Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg (The Office) had there own. Bloody Disgusting has gotten their hands on this 2009 script and it is titled "Second Draft – 04/08/2009". Although the validity of the script has still not been proven, many of the points made in this description were rumored to be in the actual script. This seems to point in the direction that this could be the real thing.

Bloody Disgusting couldn't post the actual script for their readers so they did the next best thing, posted a detailed summary. This version of the film focused a new Ghostbusters team working for the public company Ghostbusters Inc. going after a new big bad. Cameos are made through the film from original members and there seems to be a cohesive flow as to how the story got to this modern script.
"The script opens with a prologue similar to the first Ghostbusters. Two museum sec…

Watch the first trailer for Disney's live action Cinderella!

Disney has just released the first US trailer for the much anticipated film, Cinderella. This new live action film is being directed by Kenneth Branagh (Thor). Cinderella looks like it will be really good and seems to follow the classic Disney story pretty well.(Those that know the original Brothers Grimm version now it most likely won't be like that.) The one thing that I was upset by, and its just my personal opinion, was seeing Helena Bonham-Carter as the "Fairy God-Mother".
"The story of "Cinderella" follows the fortunes of young Ella (Lily James) whose merchant father remarries following the death of her mother. Eager to support her loving father, Ella welcomes her new stepmother (Cate Blanchett) and her daughters Anastasia (Holliday Grainger) and Drisella (Sophie McShera) into the family home. But, when Ella's father unexpectedly passes away, she finds herself at the mercy of a jealous and cruel new family. Finally relegated to nothing more than …

The mysterious blue alien race in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been revealed!

For some time, fans have been speculating as to what race the "blue alien" could be on the hit Marvel show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Until now there has been no official answer given on the show but all of that is about to change.

*Spoilers ahead*

On the December 2, 2014 episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans will find out that the blue being that is being tested on is a member of the Kree race! Many fans guessed this identity but now they have the official confirmation from the show. Executive Producer Jeffrey Bell commented on this by stating,
"Our people don't know anything about the Kree or that there's a planet full of them," notes executive producer Jeffrey Bell. "What they do know is that the strange carvings created by Coulson after he was injected with the Kree serum are actually the map of a city, and they need to find that city before Hydra does. But where is it? Here or on another planet?"
The Kree have been a large part of Marvel comics…

Read a description for the possible Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens trailer!

It seems as though Badass Digest has been given a tip as to what the upcoming trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens could look like!

Badass Digest says that the source has been very reliable in the past so if everything pans out to be true then it looks like the first trailer for the film could be quite short; around a minute long.

This is a description of what the trailer may look like:

"It's going to have The Force Theme played on woodwinds, softly, over flashing images of the main leads, each fading to black. There's no dialogue, just reveals of the characters. And then the music swells up into a full orchestral piece -- perhaps what John Williams recorded this weekend? -- and we hear a female voice, likely Daisy Ridley's, saying "Wake up."  And then the title card appears -- Star Wars: The Force Awakens -- and we see the Millennium Falcon, firing blasters, coming right at the camera."
This seems like it could be a really great teaser…

Pet parakeet sounds exactly like Star War's R2-D2!

I can only hope to have a bird this awesome some day. Check out "Bluey" the budgie, commonly known as the parakeet, as he mimics the sounds of the Star Wars character R2-D2!
"We taught Bluey the budgie how to do R2-D2 and now he drives us crazy! He has two other budgies in his cage, and I think he's driving them crazy too!
Bluey was our first budgie and our seven-year old daughter hand-raised him. He has always been a curious bird, he was really intrigued by our voices and the cockatoos we have in our garden - he even copied the noise the crested pigeons make when they take off. We played R2D2 sounds off Youtube to him four or five times and a few days later our daughter came running in saying he was doing R2D2. We were blown away that he picked it up so quickly! The other budgies in his cage started copying him but could only manage a few seconds at a time. Bluey also loves making lazer sounds, the R2D2 scream sound, kissing sounds, and he whispers English jibberis…
