Doctor Who 'Classic Enemies' Infographic

Bob Canada has done it again! He has artfully created another brilliant infographic, this time featuring classic enemies (1960's and 1970's) from the much loved show, Doctor Who. Bob Canada's infographics are a fantastic tool for any new (or old) fan to learn about the show and its characters.
If you take a look at his blog post where he first posted this infographic (linked above) you get good insight on what it was like to create it and draw each character.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - Review

The latest installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, On Stranger Tides, has Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow hunting down the Fountain of Youth. Will this newest story feel young and fresh or is the Pirates franchise just getting old?

On Stranger Tides only introduces a few new characters that are essential to the story and overall the casting was done very well. Ian McShane as Blackbeard was fantastic and definitely gave you a chill when he was on screen. However, I personally felt that the performance by Penelope Cruz as Angelica Melon was dry and stiff. Her most convincing moment was the 3 seconds that she was yelling at Johnny Depp in Spanish. She fully delivers the role but I feel that another in her place may have added some depth to the character. Lastly, Stephen Graham as Scrum was a good casting choice as he really nailed the knowledgeable simpleton aspects of the character. Rounding out the main cast was Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa, Kevin McNally as Gibbs, and …

Ocarina of Time 3D 'New Features' Trailer

Nintendo of America has tweeted a brand new The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D trailer. This is one of the better trailers to be released so far as it shows us some all new features. With the addition of new features like these maybe Ocarina of Time 3D will be worth a playthrough. I won't spoil the video for you so check it out and enjoy!

Rock Out At Disney Star Wars Weekend

The Star Wars Weekends officially kicked off last weekend and everyone was out to start off the celebration with a bang. "Star WarsWeekends is an annual special event at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park that celebrates the legendary Star Wars Saga and the animated television series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday of each weekend, you can join celebrities and characters for special shows, panels, presentations and more!"

Check out these two videos from 'Hyperspace Hoopla' that feature Chewbacca and an Ewok rocking out to Guns N' Roses' 'Welcome to the Jungle' and Darth Vader and Storm Troopers tearing it up to Metallica's 'Enter Sandman'.

Batman Live

Move over Spidey, Batman is looking to show you up! Adapted from the DC comics, Batman Live is looking to capture Batman and DC fans in a live-action arena adventure. Developed to have its own original story, the synopsis for Batman Live has a basic structure that is easy to build off of.  Comparisons between Batman Live and Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark will be hard to escape but we can see from the photo and trailer that the costumes for Batman Live look incredibly well done (something that can't be said for the Spidey Musical). Unfortunately, we cannot gather any more information than that from the trailer.

Batman Live kicks off its UK tour on July 19th in Manchester and will visit 10 cities wrapping up on October 8th. The show plans on a North American Tour in 2012.

Updated Wonder Woman Outfit Tweeted

Although we know that NBC already canned the Wonder Woman reboot it's still fun to take a look at what could have been. A new photo has been tweeted that shows Adrianne Palicki in yet another updated version of the Wonder Woman outfit that we would have supposedly seen later in the show had the pilot been picked up. This time the outfit is more fitting to the original look that Lynda Carter wore.

This is probably one of the better photos that we have seen of Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman since she is not running with a contorted face in the shot. I'm curious as to how the show would have explained the outfit change to go along with the character (successful corporate executive who has Amazonian powers) but I guess that will never be answered. All the same, the updated outfit looks pretty good.

Official 'Torchwood: Miracle Day' Trailer

Take a look at the official extended Torchwood: Miracle Day trailer released by Starz. At first glance this new season for Torchwood looks like it has plenty of potential. I wonder if this season will carry one single story (like Children of Earth) for 10 episodes or if there will be smaller sub stories in the season as well? Whatever the case may be, I am excited to see Torchwood return!
