Adventures of Lil' Deadpool and Hulk!

The Avengers showed us what kind of adventures Hulk could get into but what would happen if the Hulk teamed up with Deadpool? Even more interesting, what what happen if they had teamed up as kids! Artist Marco D'Alfonso answers that exact question in this brilliant piece of fan art. The piece is titled 'Adventures of Lil' Deadpool and Hulk' and besides the two title characters, it also features Captain America, Doctor Doom, and Loki.

I think it's the first two panels that really get me here. They are absolutely hilarious and I can definitely see the two of them doing those things as kids. Though Loki getting a wedgie is pretty hard not to laugh at as well. The re-imagining of these characters is fun, adorable and very well drawn.

Astromech Droid sales poster features R2-D2!

For those out in the universe looking to purchase a new astromech droid, I've got just the poster for you! This sales poster is advertising the all too important astromech droid (R2 model is pictured) and lists it's key features such as the periscope and the holographic projector. But as noted, buyers be warned that these droids are not not recommended for Degobah.

Artist Steve Thomas has done an absolutely amazing job with this piece of Star Wars art. Featuring our favorite astromech droid, R2-D2, this art has amazing coloring and the aging affect along the sides and corners is fantastic.

What do you think? Would this sales advertisement get you to buy a new droid?

World's oldest 20 sided die found!

Gamers will be interested to know that the world's oldest 20 sided die (also known as a D20) has just been found in Egypt! The newly discovered die beats out the last record holder which was a glass die discovered in Rome that dated back to the 2nd century AD.

This new die however (pictured right) goes all the way back to the Egyptian Ptolemaic Period which is between 304 - 30 B.C. That's right! The same die that Dungeons and Dragons (a.k.a D&D) and other table top gamers use, had been used in Ancient Egypt! It is not known what this 20 sided die was used for but the fact that it existed so long ago is simply amazing!

D&D jokes aside, what do you think the Egyptians used this die for?

New international poster for The Wolverine!

Wolverine is ready for battle in the newest international poster for the upcoming film The Wolverine. This image was made available to the public on twitter last night by Marvel's Digital Media Group editorial director Ryan Penagos. It features Logan (Wolverine) brooding on a rooftop in the rain. The best part of the poster is that Logan is holding a samurai sword in one hand while his adamantium claws are out on the other. It looks completely badass. In the background you can see a Japanese skyline.

Also available to fans in a motion poster of this image which can be downloaded here. What do you think of this newest poster?

Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim gets its first trailer! [video]

The trailer for Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim hasofficially made its way onto the internet and fans are scrambling to get a view of the epic 'monsters vs giant robots' movie. From the trailer you definitely get a feel that it is similar to other 'giant monster' movies. Hopefully when more trailers and information comes out things will start to stand out and make this movie unique. The trailer itself however looks amazing. From the action to the visuals Pacific Rim looks like it will be one exciting movie.

Movie synopsis:
"When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity's resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face …

Mario Warfare - Part 1 [video]

Fans may remember some awesome "Mario Warfare" posters circulating a little while back that featured our favorite Mario Bros. characters ready for an all out modern war. Well it seems that the players behind these posters, Beatdownboogie, have finally released their first part to the parody "Mario Warfare". Parts 2 and 3 will be following soon but the creators have created a kickstarter in order to get funding for future episodes.

Part 1 runs 11 minutes long and will have your attention every second it is playing. Watch as Bowser invades the Mushroom Kingdom with his troops and the King and Princess Peach must escape the castle with the help of their top bodyguard, Toad. This was incredibly fun to watch and I recommend it to everyone!

M. Night Shyamalan's After Earth gets its first trailer! [video]

The trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's newest sci-fi adventure After Earth has hit the web and it is definitely at least getting the attention of fans. Fans have become weary of M. Night Shyamalan because of his last few films but this one looks to have promise. It can be argued that the film has an Avatar feel or [enter any film with large wild animals on a ravaged planet here]. The film stars Will Smith and his son Jaden and takes place 1,000 years in the future where humans have left the planet Earth and have settled elsewhere in the universe. The trailer has a voice over from Will Smith that is monotoned and makes fans wonder if it is setting up the serious tone of the film or if Will Smith's character is just that bland. Even still, my interest is peaked and I look forward to the next piece of news about After Earth.

Movie Synopsis:
"One thousand years after cataclysmic events forced humanity's escape from Earth, Nova Prime has become mankind's new home. Lege…

Alice Eve's Star Trek 2 character is revealed!

With the release of the trailer, news surrounding J.J. Abram's Star Trek Into Darkness has been surfacing quick. And with each new piece of news, fans get more and more excited.

*Possible spoilers ahead.

The newest character news circulating is about actress Alice Eve and who she will be playing in the new film. Eve will be bringing a classic character back to the films as she will be portraying Carol Marcus. Fans of the original series will know that Carol is a molecular biologist who works for the Federation. They will also remember that Carol has a relationship with Captain Kirk and has a child with him, who is named David. This character announcement may give fans a better view of the film than they had a few days ago. In the original series, Carol Marcus had a role in the Khan storyline so could this mean that Benedict Cumberbatch's character is indeed Khan like most fans are assuming?

What do you think of this character announcement? Are you excited to see Carol Marcus …

Full length trailer for Man of Steel [video]

The full length trailer for Zack Snyder's Man of Steel is finally out and it looks great. This trailer gives us a good understanding of the film that we are going to see. It seems that we will get a very good look at Clark's childhood growing up and how he had to cope with being 'different' while still getting all the excitement of a Superman film. We see Superman in flight, explosions, Jor-El and Lara (Superman's parents), a spaceship, and even a glimpse of Zod! Henry Cavill looks fantastic as Superman and from this trailer it appears that the movie will be great. Lets hope that this movie delivers!

Big name wizard cast as the voice of the Snowmen in the Christmas Special for Doctor Who!

Doctor Who has just unveiled some new information that will make a lot of fans very happy. Fans are now aware that the 2012 Christmas Special for Doctor Who is titled "The Snowmen" but a brand new, an unexpected, casting has just been announced.

*Possible spoilers ahead.

The last few Christmas specials have brought in some big names and this year will be no exception. However, only the voice of this actor will make it onto the show. Voicing the Snowmen (yes, the Snowmen) will be Sir Ian McKellen. That's right. Gandalf the Grey and Magneto will be joining the Doctor Who universe!

On a personal note, as cool as this news is I cannot get excited for it. The fact that this is simply a voice role means that this casting was done for nothing more than to get fans to view the episode. As though getting a new companion wasn't enough to drive fans to their televisions to watch. All the same, I shall be watching with the rest of the Doctor Who fandom!

First person Goomba video makes you feel bad for the Mario villain! [video]

Since the beginning, Goombas have always been viewed as 'bad guys' in the Super Mario Bros. franchise for Nintendo. This is because we view the game from the viewpoint that Mario is the 'good guy' and Goombas are bad because they work for Bowser. But what if this wasn't the case?

This amazing 4 minute video follows one Goomba from birth to death and it has seriously made me reconsider jumping on these little guys heads. After watching this video I just feel bad for them now. This is definitely a must watch for Mario fans and gamers in general. Such a fun and well made video!
