Assassin's Creed 3 fan film would make a great full length feature! [video]

I just came across this amazingly well made fan film for Assassin's Creed 3 that is titled "Assassin's Creed: Rebel Blades". In it Connor Kenway comes to the rescue of a young boy who is about to be killed by a small party of Redcoats. The fight scene is extremely well done and I have to give the creators, CorridorDigital, a lot of credit on this great short. It's very well made and the ending cracked me up. Enjoy!

So who do you think would win in a fight between Batman and Superman? It seems that these two friends do not agree and enter a wild sing off showdown to argue their points for each of the superheroes. Harley Quinn shines in fan art piece titled "Poker Face"!

Here is a great piece of art from artist "Polarityplus" that features Harley Quinn from the Batman franchise.  "I wanted to try something different. I had the song pokerface in my head and this popped out. My take on Harley Quinn. Oh she looks happy." The simplicity of this piece is what truly makes it amazing. Just Harley and the Joker card. Nobody else, no wild make-up, and no suit. Just Harley shining in her own greatness. Well done!

Disney Princesses become Jedi and Sith in these great mash-up pieces!

Take a look at these fun pieces of mash-up art from artist Ralph Sevelius that feature some of the princesses from Disney. The first two photos feature Ariel and Rapunzel as Jedi Knights and the third has Snow White embracing the dark side as a Sith Lord. Sevelius commented that for Ariel he, "borrowed visual motifs from different Jedis such as Asajj Ventress and Kit Fisto." I think that was a brilliant idea and that it definitely shines through in the piece. What do you think of these three pieces and who is your favorite? Any other princess you think the artist should draw?

A big thank you to my girlfriend, Jackie, for pointing these out to me!

"Oh Shit What?!" A musical tribute to The Goonies by Bonecage! [video]

The Goonies is a movie that I have loved since my childhood and will always love. It is fun and hilarious and anyone who doesn't love it has probably just not seen it.

A music group called "Bonecage" had created a tribute song to the film and titled it "Oh Shit What?!" after the quote from one of the characters, Chunk. Then came Brad Carter who was a fan of both the film and the song and he cut movie footage together to make a music video for the song. Brilliant! The result is great and makes me want to sit down and rewatch The Goonies tonight.

Post-it Note Arcade - Stop Motion Animation! [video]

What do you get when you mix a lot of free time, post-it notes, and a gamer? A brilliant stop motion video!! Creator Michael Birken has taken 5,722 individual still images, 4,800 post-it notes, and 96 days over 11 months to create this tribute video to Ms. Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. "This stop motion tribute to my 2 favorite old school arcade games is based on actual recorded game footage. The recordings were printed out, one frame at a time, and transferred by hand to various walls around my office floor using thousands of Post-It Notes. The process consumed weekends and holidays for the past 11 months. Changing background scenery was masked out and replaced with 1 consistent frame throughout the animation, producing an eerie stillness amid the moving images on the walls." Enjoy!

The Human Piano performs the Super Mario Bros. theme song! [video]

One dedicated musician hit the streets of Israel and recorded random people singing one note each in order to create his own music video in which those random strangers will sing one song together in (somewhat) harmony. The song that Eran Amir decided to recreate was the theme from the Nintendo game Super Mario Bros. and it came out really well! "More than 300 random people on the streets of Israel, each repeating one single note, creating together one harmonious melody." This must have taken a long time to create from concept to finished product but you can see that the result is a lot of fun and well done. Enjoy!
