Atari urban legend has been confirmed! Construction crews unearth games in New Mexico desert!

There has been a long standing urban legend in the gaming community that for over 30 years there has been a very large amount (14 full truck loads worth) of old Atari 2600 video games buried in the New Mexico desert. Many of these games that were burried were the extremely awful game E.T. The Extra Terrestrial. The legend states that during the video game crash of 1983 Atari was unfortunately stuck with massive amounts of the E.T. game as well as other games and hardware pieces. With interest in video games declining in North America, Atari decided to dump its excess items into a landfill to be rid of them. This story was never confirmed but it traveled from gamer to gamer and became an urban legend.
That urban legend has been confirmed today! Construction crews have unearthed copies of the E.T. Artari game at a landfill in the New Mexico desert near the city of Alamogordo. The dig to unearth this urban legend is a part of a documentary being made by Microsoft's Xbox…

Marvel has plans to kill off one of their iconic heroes! Could it be for good this time?

Marvel's iconic hero Wolverine is in the middle of a storyline titled "3 Months to Live" and with a name like that it becomes pretty clear where the story could be leading. This new storyline has Wolverine stripped of his healing factor and it is solely because of his ability to heal so fast that he has managed to live for so long and to come out of every fight as the winner.

A new four issue series will be released starting on September 3, 2014 (last issue on September 24th) that will be titled "Death of Wolverine". The first issue's cover has a silhouette that some fans may recognize as the pose that Wolverine had in his very first appearance on the last page ofThe Incredible Hulk #180 (released in 1974). "Death of Wolverine" will be written by Charles Soule and drawn by artist Steve McNiven.

While talking to Entertainment Weekly executive editor at Marvel, Michael Marts, revealed that this new story will have effects felt in many other comics. &qu…

A new statue is about to be released by "First 4 Figures" that features Princess Zelda from the The Legend of Zelda video game franchise from Nintendo. The statue is of Princess Zelda as she is seen in the game The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess which is one of the more popular games in the series. The statue will stand at 17 inches tall and is truly stunning. The pose is fantastic and the fact that Zelda is holding her sword in this statue is brilliant. Twilight Princess saw a more combat ready Princess Zelda enter the story and she even helps Link battle Ganondorf at the end of the game. Only 2,500 of these statues are being made and purchasing one will set you back $350. (This price can be broken down into three payments with the Flexpay option.) George R.R. Martin reveals the full size of dragons in A Song of Ice and Fire / Game of Thrones!

Author George R.R. Martin has posted an excerpt from his upcoming companion book to his bestselling Song of Ice and Fire novels. The companion book will be titled The World of Ice and Fire: The Untold History of Westeros and the World of Game of Thrones. This new book will be a encyclopedia of the events and characters from the Seven Kingdoms and more. (This book is bound to be a big success to both new and old readers of the A Song and Ice and Fire novels.)

The interesting part of Martin's post is an illustration, which shows fans the character of Aegon riding his dragon Balerion the Black Dread. It has been revealed by Martin that this particular image shows you what a fully grown dragon looks like in his world. And it is massive! In the photo you can see Aegon on top of the dragon's lower neck near the wings. Now wouldn't it be something to see Daenerys Targaryen flying atop one of her dragons when they are this size?

I can't say that I saw this coming and I doubt many fans could.

In an unexpected move, actor Ray Fisher has been cast as Victor Stone, aka Cyborg, in the upcoming "Batman vs Superman" film.

Zack Snyder has been building the cast of this new Superman sequel to the point where it should just officially be titled "The Justice League".
"Victor Stone or Cyborg, while not a major part in the Batman-Superman feature, is a member of the Justice League, and the role will become much more significant role as Warner and DC develop more films related to the Justice League universe" Are you excited to see another Justice League member cast in the "Batman vs Superman" film? Are you, like me, wishing they would just finally pick a name for this film already?

Lou Ferrigno set to return for Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron!

Exciting news hit the web today as it was announced that actor Lou Ferrigno will return to the Avengers to reprise his role of the Hulk's voice in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Fans will certainly remember Lou Ferrigno as the original Hulk on the Incredible Hulk TV series from 1977 to 1982. Ferrigno then came back to Marvel to provide the "voice" of the Hulk in the first Avengers movie. Ferrigno confirmed this news while at last weekend's WonderCon.

Fans will remember that the Hulk only spoke one line of dialogue ("Puny God.") and that that line was voiced by actor Mark Ruffalo who was playing Bruce Banner. However, it was Lou Ferrigno who voiced all the various grunts, moans, and roars of the Hulk. Well Ferrigno will be back to add his personal touch to the character once again.

Are you happy to see the original Hulk come back to help bring the character to life?

Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to be in theaters on May 1, 2015.

Fantastic Four reboot will be a coming of age tale but don't expect them to be called the "Fantastic Four"!

Director Josh Trank's new Fantastic Four reboot is having a lot of trouble getting support from fans as it tries to get off the floor and with each new announcement it seems that fans take a step away from the film.

The reboot is set to star Miles Teller as Reed Richards, Kate Mara as Sue Storm, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm, and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm. In a recent interview producer Simon Kinberg spoke a little about what fans could expect from the story. "We’re definitely telling a younger story that the original films did. It depends on what books you look at. There are some, like the Ultimate books, that tell this story. So it is an origin story of the Fantastic Four, and it does follow them before they really know what a superhero is." He continued to comment about the age of the characters which seems to be a concern for many fans.
"They’re older than high school, but they’re not quite grown into the world. If anything, this is a coming of age story.…

New clip from How To Train Your Dragon 2 features a new viking dragon sport! [video]

A fun new clip has been released for DreamWork's How To Train Your Dragon 2 and it shows you the gang from the first film, who are all a little bit older, competing in a new "Dragon Racing" sport. In this new sport the vikings compete while riding their dragons and score points by throwing sheep into scoring baskets. Similar to the Golden Snitch the magical sport of Quidditch from Harry Potter, there is one particular sheep who is painted black that is worth extra points for the team who scores with it. This looks like a lot of fun. Watch the clip below and let me know what you think of this new sport in the comments.

How To Train Your Dragon 2 will fly into theaters on June 13, 2014.
