The Doctor Packs Heat and Goes Gangster

A preconceived notion that a lot of new Doctor Who fans have is that the Doctor is someone who does not like guns and will never use one to fight his enemies. I can only assume that this assumption is in place because they have gotten to know the show through David Tennant's incarnation of the Doctor. It is very true that the Tenth Doctor was against guns and would not use one. Which is why it made such an outstanding impact when he pointed the gun at General Cobb in 'The Doctor's Daughter' after Jenny was shot or when he grabbed Wilfred's gun upon hearing that the Timelords were returning in 'The End of Time - Part 2'.

However, this is a trait of the Tenth Doctor, not all Doctors. We've seen the Doctor take up arms on many occasions. We've even seen the Ninth Doctor (Christopher Eccleston) take arms against the lone Dalek in Season 1 in the episode entitled 'Dalek'. If you don't think you can recall the Doctor packing some heat then wa…

'The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword' at E3

It wouldn't have been E3 for Nintendo without some news concerning our favorite Hylian, Link. Not too much as been revealed yet at E3 for the new Zelda title, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, but we have gotten to see a brand new trailer with all new stunning footage.
The new trailer shows us the stunning color pallet that the game will feature as well as a few new characters and enemies to look forward to. Some noticeable points in the trailer are that it appears Link will swap his trusted steed, Epona, for a new riding bird, Zelda may not be royalty yet, and we get great glimpses of Skyloft (the land in the clouds where Link is from).

Nintendo Presents the 3DS at E3 2011

Nintendo had a big day at E3 2011 today. Among the many things spoken about was the new titles coming to the 3DS. One announcement that brought loud cheers from the crowd was that Super Smash Bros. will come to the 3DS as well as the Wii U and will be able to be used with each other. First trailer up is Super Mario which brings back the much loved tanooki suit.

Game Trailers Heat Up With Catwoman & Lara Croft

If Batman hopes to take down The Joker in Batman: Arkham City he's going to need a little help. That help comes in the form of the sultry Catwoman. In this Catwoman trailer for Batman: Arkham City we see her heat things up while taking down everyone that crosses her path.
Batman: Arkham City will be released 10-18-11.

The official trailer for the new Tomb Raider reboot has been released and it is clear that this game will focus on the origins of Lara Croft and how show grows from a "frightened young woman to a hardened survivor". Lara's new look is amazing and the cinematic of this trailer is incredible. I hope that this game will bring back the glory that Tomb Raider once had.
Tomb Raider is set to be released in the Fall of 2012.

Fan Made 'Doctor Who' Anime Captivates Fans

It has been known for some time that OtaKing77077 was creating his own anime short for Doctor Who featuring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor. After all the hard work the final product is here! For one man to do all this is simply amazing. I applaud him and hope that he may do another in the future (though I know this one took quite some time). The anime actually does a great job at capturing all the major characters of the Third Doctor's era and the animation style is very clean and well done. He also used actual voice clips from the show to keep the characters real voices which was a nice touch. Just a heads up, watch past the credits (which are very short).

Description from OtaKing77077:
All 13 minutes of the completed fake Doctor Who 80s-style anime. Drawn, animated and partially voiced by myself. Some bits are good, some bits are poor, but on the whole it turned out okay, I think. Enjoy! This is old school Who, so fans of the new reboot show may be confused by the fact tha…
