The Legend of Zelda - Symphony of the Goddess at Nintendo World! [video]

On Saturday, September 14th, Nintendo World in New York City held an intimate event that would serve as a preview to one of Nintendo’s largest events held; The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary - Symphony of the Goddess. The Symphony of the Goddess Tour has been traveling around the country and capturing the hearts of Zelda fans everywhere but this November it will finally be making its way to Madison Square Garden in New York City. With this in mind, Nintendo thought it would be a nice idea to give fans a little preview of what was on its way.

Fans began to line up for this event a full day in advance to secure their spot inside. The long wait wasn’t all bad though as there were plenty of gamers to talk to and 3DS games to play. Due to work I couldn’t arrive till 5pm the day of the event (which started at 6pm - yikes!) but I thankfully received one of the last tickets into the event and was extremely happy that I did!

Once inside fans were treated to a ocarina tutorial by David Ramos wh…

Inspector Spacetime - Episode 2! [video]

The second episode of the Inspector Spacetime web series has arrived! (Let's be honest. We know it's called "Untitled Web Series About a Space Traveler Who Can Also Travel Through Time" but that is a ridiculous title and ridiculously long to type. And UWSASTWCATTT is just as bad! So I shall forever be calling it by it's proper title "Inspector Spacetime".)

This second episode finds the Inspector and Piper as they are about to come face to face with the Inspector's arch nemesis Boyish the Extraordinary!

This episode may not be as fun as the first but hopefully after all this lead up we will get to see Boyish in the next episode. And I understand that they are trying to poke fun of Doctor Who here but even Doctor Who's serious scenes that do this come out funnier. Shape up, Inspector! And where's the Constable?

Could Peter Jackson direct a future episode of Doctor Who?

It appears that both Doctor Who's Matt Smith (who currently plays the Eleventh Doctor on the British sci-fi show) and Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit) himself would love to see Jackson's involvement in a future episode of Doctor Who.

While talking to The Waikato Times, Matt mentioned that he would love to film an episode of Doctor Who over in New Zealand. He went on to comment:
"Let's get Peter Jackson to direct one and go and make it in New Zealand. I would love to, I will campaign endlessly to come over and film there." Now this could be taken as an actor voicing his desire for a exotic location shoot but then The Waikato Times got a hold of Peter Jackson and spoke to him about the matter. Jackson had this to say:
"I'm a huge Dr Who fan, and I think Matt's fantastic. Just name a time and place, and I'll be there!" Smith and Jackson had a chance to meet recently at San Diego Comic Con where Jackson admitted to Smith tha…

Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition trailer shows off wearable Nintendo character outfits! [video]

With the announcement of the Wii U's release date, new game trailers have been coming out that are creating a lot of buzz around the gaming community. Thew newest game trailer to hit the web is for Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition and there are a few surprises within. It appears that the rumors were true and that in this game you will be able to unlock different character outfits from various Nintendo franchises for the Tekken warriors to wear. Outfits that include Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf (The Legend of Zelda), Mario, Luigi, and Bowser (Super Mario Bros.), and even Zero Suit Samus (Metroid) and Star Fox (Star Fox)!

I admit that I think I preferred actually fighting as Link in Soul Calibur 2 but this is still a pretty cool addition to Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition. Some of the character outfits look a little better than others but what can you do? (Seriously, look at the fake added nose for Mario and Luigi and Bowser as a whole.) Take a look at the trailer and let…

Marvel elects Captain America as our new US President in The Ultimates!

In a world where the United States needs a new President that will make changes, Marvel is answering the call and electing someone who will change things forever. In the upcoming The Ultimates #16, Steve Rogers will be sworn in as the President of the United States. Thats right! Captain America will be our President!

The United States in The Ultimates story is a ravaged nation trying to hold on to survival. Washington D.C. has been wiped off the map, a dictator is running Detroit, and the entire west is full of refugees. So what can we expect from Captain America as President? Writer Sam Humphries states:
"“Are we going to see 12 issues of Captain America behind a desk? No, that’s not exciting to anyone,” Humphries says. “Captain America is not going to behave like any other president behaves. He takes the oath of office and barely takes a breath as he goes to hot spots. . . . Cap is out there because he’s so concerned about the state of the Union that he doesn’t have time …

New photo of Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit has Bilbo looking to the sky!

Take a look at the newest photo to be released from Peter Jackson's The Hobbit. Featuring a young Bilbo Baggins played by Martin Freenman, the photo shows us Bilbo looking to the sky in awe of his new surroundings. Everything about this shot is beautiful; the reflection in the water below Bilbo, the look of true awe on his face, and the stone work that surrounds him.If this photo is an indication of what kind of visuals we can expect in The Hobbit then I am really excited!

8 new photos released for The Hobbit!

USA Today has released a 8 new photos from the upcoming The Hobbit trilogy by Peter Jackson. Within the photos we get some great looks at characters such as Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf the Grey, Thorin Oakenshield and the company of dwarves, the adorable Gollum (look how cute he is in that photo, lol), and Radagast the Brown. The great thing is that this is the best look we have gotten to date of Radagast the Brown played by Sylvester McCoy (best known as the 7th Doctor from Doctor Who).

USA Today reports:
"The wizard Radagast the Brown (Sylvester McCoy) is only mentioned in J.R.R. Tolkien's Hobbit book once, but Boyens [The Hobbit (and The Lord of the Rings) co-screenwriter Philippa Boyens] had enough to go on to boost his role in the new movie series, and she feels he's going to become a well-loved character. "He's not at all like Gandalf," Boyens says. "There's a power and danger and sharpness and wits and cunning even about Gandalf that you …
