The Legend of Zelda: Link's Triumph [video]

Fans of the hit Nintendo franchise The Legend of Zelda would be excited to see a cartoon based on the game that was true to the game and that they could be proud of. What? There was already a cartoon in the 80's you say? Well, excuuuuuse me, Princess. (HA! Sorry, had to do it.) I grew up with that cartoon and enjoyed it very much but as much fun as that cartoon was, it could have been better.

The cartoon below is from the animators Shamoozal and will make you wish they would turn it into a full series! Titled "Link's Triumph", this short (1:06) video captures the essence of the original The Legend of Zelda game perfectly.

Link doesn't talk in this video yet he still perfectly portrays his feelings and thoughts through his facial expressions and gasps/screams. You also see Link solve the situation at hand using both brawn and brains just like in the games which is very nice. Furthermore, the animation is clean and the colors are sharp. Enjoy!

However, the loss may not be as hard as some had come to expect thanks to a dedicated group of Nintendo fans who have banded together to create their own publication for gamers. Although this new magazine may not be Nintendo Power, it'll be nice to have a fresh new media solely focused on Nintendo. The magazine will be called Nintendo Force Magazine and will contain all the features that gamers loved about Nintendo Power. The magazine is calling itself a spiritual successor to Nintendo Power and has a team of 16 extremely talented and dedicated writers, designers, and artists. Fans will also be happy to know that Nintendo Force Magazine will be av…

Peter Parker leaves and the Amazing Spider-Man becomes Superior!

The Amazing Spider-Man issue #700 hit stands today and fans will be extremely surprised to see how the writers ended the comic.

*Spoilers ahead.

The current storyline had Peter Parker (Spider-Man) and the dying Otto Octavius (Doctor Octopus) swap bodies. But it appears that at the end of issue #700 Otto Octavius' body finally gives up and dies. Which means of course that Peter Parker himself is dead. That's right. Since Peter was not able to get his own body back in time, he has now passed and has left Otto Octavius in the body of Peter Parker.

With their minds swapped in each others' bodies, Otto has all the memories that Peter had but did not have the emotional connection to them like Peter. So his final moments, Peter explains to Otto why he must carry on the credo "With great power, comes great responsibility," and Otto tells Peter that he will not only continue to be Spider-Man but he will be an even better one than he (Peter) was.
