A release date has not yet been announced but Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Illusion will come out for the 3DS and will be its own separate game apart from Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two for the Nintendo Wii. You can see the cover of Nintendo Power (Issue #277) confirming the 3DS game pictured to the right. LittleBigPlanet Karting debut trailer for PS3

SONY has officially released the debut trailer for a new LittleBigPlanet game for the Playstation 3 titled LittleBigPlanet Karting.
"United Front Games is handling production duties – which makes sense given the developer's track record with ModNation Racers – and the team promises the same level of dedication and attention to detail that Media Molecule lavishes on its main franchise LBP titles."From the trailer you can see that the game has a Mario Kart feel to it with its own personal style tacked on. Some of that personal style includes a system that allows you to create your own players, karts, levels, and even rules for a match. This will definitely make for a fun game whether alone or playing with friends!

First 2 episodes of The Legend of Korra (legally) online!!

The moment that Avatar: The Last Airbender fans have been waiting for has come early! It was announced that Nickelodeon would be premiering the follow up series The Legend of Korra on April 14, 2012. However, thanks to Korra Nation, fans can view (legally) the first two episodes of the series in their entirety right now!

The episodes have the classic Avatar feel to them and there are plenty of easter eggs throughout both episodes for fans to look for and be excited about. You'll experience a wide mix of emotions as you watch the first two chapters of Book One but in the end I feel that fans will be thoroughly satisfied. I am going to hold off my personal review until the episodes have officially been aired but I will say that I definitely enjoyed them.

Wrath of the Titans clip shows us a brotherly quarrel

The first clip from the upcoming Wrath of the Titans has hit the web and it shows us a brotherly quarrel between Zeus (Liam Neeson) and Hades (Ralph Fiennes). Zeus goes to his brother looking for help and instead finds that he has once again been betrayed. Also in the clip are Poseidon (Danny Huston) and Ares (Edgar Ramirez). It may be just me but it's pretty cool to see the Gods battling it out.

Wrath of the Titans opens in theaters on March 30th.

First official photo of Jenna-Louise Coleman for Doctor Who

The BBC has released the first official Doctor Who photograph for Jenna-Louise Coleman who will play the Doctor's new companion on Doctor Who. In the photo Coleman is wearing normal clothes (not her character's clothes) and standing outside the TARDIS similar to the first photograph released for Matt Smith as the Doctor.
"Jenna-Louise Coleman, who will play The Doctor’s new and as yet unnamed companion, in the hit British sci-fi TV series Doctor Who. Coleman will be introduced to audiences for the first time in the show’s 2012 Christmas Special following the departure of the current companion Amy Pond, played by Karen Gillan, who will leave in episode 5 of the upcoming Series (7)."

Starship Troopers: Invasion teaser trailer

The teaser trailer for Starship Troopers: Invasion has been released and I must say that I am definitely intrigued. This installment in the franchise is a CG movie that will most likely head straight to DVD but the positive thing about it is that it appears to be a direct sequel to the original 1997 Starship Troopers and completely ignores the 2nd and 3rd film. Both of which were awful. This trailer is a true teaser. It shows a soldier preparing for battle as he narrates his thoughts and gives us a look at the upgrades that soldiers now have. It also shows us some quick glimpses of starships and a real quick look at an arachnid at the end.

Show synopsis:
"The story centers around two teams of Roughnecks: the Alpha 1 team embarking on a mission to rescue the distant outpost Fort Casey and the K-12 team already stationed at Fort Casey. The two war-depleted squads must band together with a common objective, but personalities and ambition ensure a bumpy ride."Starship T…

Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome trailer

The trailer for Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome has been making its way around the net all day and fans are loving it. However, it seems that NBC has not been loving it as they have been taking the trailers down all over the place. So make sure to watch it fast. You can watchit here at io9. As soon as I find a copy I can directly post I will!

The trailer is packed to the brim with excitement and "cut in the style of the trailer for David Fincher'sThe Girl With the Dragon Tattoo".  Anyone who has been missing the Battlestar Galactica series will love this trailer. It really captures the essence of Battlestar Galactica, which Caprica unfortunately failed to do.

Show synopsis:
"Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome takes place in the 10th year of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a young, talented fighter pilot, William Adama (Luke Pasqualino), finds hims…

The new Doctor Who companion is announced!

Early this morning it was officially announced that actress Jenna-Louise Coleman  has been cast as the next companion to the Doctor in the show Doctor Who. She is previously known for roles in Emmerdale, Waterloo Road and will be seen in upcoming series, Titanic on ITV1. The official BBC Doctor Who twitter account has announced that her first episode will be in the 2012 Christmas special. Steven Moffat said that, "We saw a lot of brilliant actresses. But Jenna was the only person going faster than Matt - he had to keep up!" If Jenna brings this to her character it will definitely be fun to watch!

Here is the official press release from the BBC:

"Twenty-five year old Jenna from Blackpool will star alongside the 11th Time Lord, Matt Smith, to mark the biggest year in the show’s history.

Best known for her roles in Emmerdale (Jasmine Thomas) and Waterloo Road (Lindsay James), Jenna will replace Karen Gillan when she and Arthur Darvill bow out of the show in a heartbreak…

Eddie Izzard to star as Grampa Munster?

The first casting for NBC's upcoming Mockingbird Lane (a re-imagining of the 1960's The Munsters) is all but official. Actor/Comedian Eddie Izzard is in final negotiations for the role of Grampa Munster. Written by Bryan Fuller and directed by Bryan Singer, this show will  reinvent the classic show and bring it into a modern audience.
"Izzard will play Grandpa, the Munster family patriarch, a powerful, ancient vampire with an irrepressible twinkle in his eye. He can shapeshift into rats, wolves, and other creatures at will, but he’s also dapper and charming in a fedora; he is a Don Juan-type womanizer with penchant for flashy, sexy outfits."The casting of Eddie Izzard is spot on for Grampa Munster. You can see from the photo below that Izzard really does look like the original Grampa Munster played by the late Al Lewis.

Possible teaser poster for The Wolverine?

Although it has not yet been confirmed, a photo has surfaced that could potentially be the teaser poster for the upcoming movie The Wolverine. This photo was apparently taken inside director James Mangold's office and posted on Instagram. Even though the validity of the poster has not yet been confirmed, it is still an amazing poster. With Wolverine's claws slicing a Japanese flag, the poster clearly ties in the September 1982 storyline "Wolverine" by Chris Claremont and drawn by Frank Miller.

So what do you guys think of this poster? Real or fan made? Either way, I think it's great.

The Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26, 2013.

Where's Carl? - Calvin and Hobbes meets The Walking Dead

Joel Watson has created a great mash-up piece bringing together Calvin and Hobbes and The Walking Dead. It is of Carl, Rick's son on The Walking Dead, walking over a stream with a zombie friend in tow. This is an iconic image from Calvin and Hobbes and the great thing about this piece is that I can imagine Calvin befriending a zombie and walking around just like this. I love that kid's imagination!

Video on how to properly wield a lightsaber! (Funny)

If you have ever wanted to learn the proper techniques of wielding a lightsaber for combat then this video is a must watch! From how to swing to when to dodge, this video takes you step by step on how to properly engage in a lightsaber duel.

Brought to you by FirstManOnTheSpoon, this video takes a funny look at the lightsaber duel between Qui Gon Jinn, Obi Wan Kenobi, and Darth Maul at the end of Star Wars - Episode I: The Phantom Menace. It dissects the duel in such a manner that it appears that the Jedi and Sith actually do not know how to duel at all. One great comment on the video mentioned the possibility that the Jedi and Sith trained in the same facility as the Storm Troopers! Enjoy the video!

That is if you don't count a clip as a spoiler. Enjoy!

First glimpse of the CW's Green Arrow

The CW has been working on their new super hero show Arrow for some time now and they have officially given fans a first glimpse of actor Stephen Amell (Private Practice) in his costume as the Green Arrow. The CW has made it clear that this incarnation of Green Arrow will be much darker than the one fans saw in the series Smallville and that they should understand that this is a whole new character.
"Described as a modern retelling of the DC Comics’ Green Arrow property, the potential series revolves around former billionaire playboy Oliver Queen who, after being marooned for five years on a remote island, returns with a mysterious agenda and a lethal set of new skills that he uses in a war on crime."You cannot see too much of his outfit from the picture (which was probably intentional) but it certainly has a dark, edgy feel to it. I cannot explain why but I really like that we clearly see the quiver on his back. I also really like that he is using a recurve bow as oppos…

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles no longer Mutants?

Fans are both excited and concerned about the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and it is completely understandable. It is such an amazing franchise that they want more but don't want it to be ruined. Well, the net has been buzzing with news recently concerning the film. Paramount announced recently that the new live action / CGI combo Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be released on December 25, 2013. Now the producer of this new movie, Michael Bay (Transformers), has made an even bigger announcement that fans may feel is crossing the line. Watch this brief clip (15 seconds) of Michael Bay making the announcement.

Michael Bay talks Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesby stuffwelike

Take a moment and let what he just said sink in.
"When you see this movie, kids will believe one day that these turtles do exist, when we’re done with this movie. These turtles are form an alien race, and they’re going to be tough, edgy, funny and completely loveable."Alien race?! Does thi…

LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector's Series R2-D2

LEGO is releasing a new "Ultimate Collector's Series" R2-D2 that is simply mind blowing. Fans of the Star Wars franchise and of R2-D2 in particular are going to absolutely love this new LEGO set. Fans will be able to get there hands on this set this coming May. However, it will run them around $250. This is definitely a steep price for a LEGO toy. Though I must say that it is definitely very detailed. With 2,100 LEGO pieces, it has several of R2's gadgets that are contained within hidden compartments (as in the movies) and there are several other panels on his body that open up as well. His head fully rotates 180 degrees and it has R2's third retractable leg that comes out and locks in place. It stands at just under one foot tall and also has a small R2-D2 collector's figure included.

Check out the LEGO Design video to listen to the two designers of this R2-D2 talk about what went into making it and why it is so cool!
