Michael Bay talks Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by stuffwelike

Take a moment and let what he just said sink in.
"When you see this movie, kids will believe one day that these turtles do exist, when we’re done with this movie. These turtles are form an alien race, and they’re going to be tough, edgy, funny and completely loveable."
Alien race?! Does this mean that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are no longer mutants? Any fan of the franchise will tell you that this is more than a huge change to the turtles' origin story. This is messing around with people's childhoods and the turtles that they love. This combined with the "tough, edgy, funny and completely loveable" description and it's clear that Bay is definitely throwing his own style to these turtles. How do you feel about this origin change? Like it? Hate it? Already driving out to beat up Bay?
