The Lion King story retold on an Etch A Sketch! [video]

If "hakuna matata" is your life motto then this is one video that you really need to watch. Etch A Sketch "expert", Todd Boudreaux, and his little sister Isabel retell the story of The Lion King as Todd draws out the story entirely on a standard Etch A Sketch! Now that is impressive! The video is just two minutes long and is really interesting to watch. Enjoy!

The Legend of Zelda's Link feels like he can take anything! [video]

Game Grumps has created this short (30 second) video featuring Link from Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda that will have any fan of the franchise laughing pretty hard. All gamers have questioned Link's self given right to take anything he wants or smash anything he wants in Hyrule and this hilarious video is aimed at just that subject.

Mario super dances throughout L.A. and Vegas! [video]

YouTube star Nathan Barnatt may have a big following here on Earth but he is about to become a big star in the Mushroom Kingdom! In his newest video, Barnatt dances to an absolutely amazing remix of the Super Mario World theme while dressed as Mario. Youtuber Lindsay Ames even makes an appearance to rock out as Princess Peach! The video was shot on location all over Los Angeles and Las Vegas and you can tell that it was a lot of fun to shoot. You can find a great Gollum (The Lord of the Rings) impression at the 1:22 mark and the dancing begins at the 1:34 mark.

Ultron is cast for the The Avengers sequel The Avengers: Age of Ultron!

Some big news has just been revealed for Marvel's sequel for The Avengers titled The Avengers: Age of Ultron. James Spader (Stargate, Boston Legal, The Practice) has been cast as the villain of the film; Ultron! "Spader's Ultron will be making trouble for Marvel's costumed heroes in the movie, including Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America, and Thor. However, since Ultron is entirely mechanical, it remains to be seen if Spader will be on set in a suit, interacting with his fellow cast members, or if he'll be providing the voice for a CGI creation. So far, Marvel and Disney haven't weighed in on the matter." I think that James Spader is a fantastic actor with the kind of depth that could do a great job at bringing Ultron to life. It'll be interesting to see what Ultron will look like on screen and how Spader will be used to portray him. I'm excited.

The Avengers: Age of Ultronis currently set to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.

USA Hockey unveils their new 2014 Winter Olympic jerseys!

(I only have a handful of sports articles up but this is another passion of mine and certainly another fandom. So news is news!)

Team USA Hockey, along with NIKE, have just unveiled their new 2014 Winter Olympic jerseys that will be worn in Sochi, Russia!

As exciting as that news is the jerseys themselves will certainly get mixed reviews from hockey fans.

Straight away I really like the USA Shield on the front. It has a classic look to it that I really enjoy. The split colors top to bottom is nice but a little plain but the thing that will have everyone up in arms is the stars and "laces". The shiny stars on the shoulders aren't terrible but its an odd choice. The fake lacing on the front chest though is just a terrible choice. This is the thing that will certainly turn fans off. Real lacing would have looked great here if that is the look they were going for. But the fact that they chose to put on fake laces is frankly horrible. What were you thinking NIKE?? I can only…

Nintendo released the official box art for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds yesterday. The box art has a golden overlay to the entire image and although it looks somewhat cool, not all fans may be into it. Well now you can take a look at the box art in beautiful full color and it truly is stunning!!

The cast of The Lord of the Rings sings Kesha's "Die Young"! [video]

I've seen some interesting video edits but this one is a doosey. One dedicated fan has spent countless hours splicing together footage from Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings to create a video in which the people of Middle Earth would come together and sing the song "Die Young" by Kesha. Some fans out there may not like Kesha but you have to respect the dedication it requires to create a video edit like this. Give the video a shot and see what you think. Once the song gets going the video gets good. Enjoy!

Watch the entire The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug trailer made from LEGOs! [video]

I always love stopping by Brotherhood Workshop's YouTube page because I always find something new and fun! Well the Brotherhood Workshop team has just released a fantastic LEGO version of the trailer for Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Two months of work went into creating this video and you can see that it was two months well spent. The LEGO trailer looks identical to the actual film trailer. I don't know about you, but if Brotherhood Workshop decided to make the whole movie with LEGOs I know I'd sit down to watch it. Enjoy!

Since fans kept asking for a "side by side comparison" video, Brotherhood Workshop created one just for them! You can watch it below and see the amazing job that they did when compared to the actual film trailer! Enjoy!

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will make its way into theaters on on December 13, 2013.

New box art for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is released!

Nintendo has just released the box art for the new upcoming Zelda game The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds! It features Link in his "drawn" form, the Master Sword, and a fancy golden overly. For this particular game and box art I feel the golden overlay seems fitting since the Triforce is in the game's logo and seems like it might play a bigger role in this game. What do you think of the box art for this game?

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will be released on November 22nd.

Peter Jackson may be all set to direct an episode of Doctor Who!

Rumors have been circulating at the possibility of Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings, King Kong, The Hobbit) directing a future episode of Doctor Who. Jackson has made it known that he'd love to direct an episode and had some fun ideas but it seems that things are progressing to make this a reality! Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat recently did an interview with Metro where he revealed some new information. "‘He’s serious about it,’ he admitted. ‘We talked about it at the Hobbit premiere – he just wants a Dalek. ‘So we’ll give him a Dalek and he’ll direct an episode. I think he’d like us to go to New Zealand.’" As noted above Jackson has asked to keep a single Dalek for his prop collection in lue of getting paid. I for one think that if Jackson gets creative control over a Doctor Who episode and location choice it will be one amazing episode! Would you be excited for Jackson to direct Doctor Who?

Mike Tyson plays Mike Tyson's Punch-Out for the very first time! [video]

Growing up I used to love to play the Nintendo boxing game Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. I never beat it when I was younger though. Only accomplished that when I was a little older. Now one would assume that with the game being named after boxing legend Mike Tyson that Mike Tyson himself would have played it at some point. However, you would be wrong. Until recently, Tyson had never played the game! FOX Sports recorded Mike Tyson as he sat down to play the game for the very first time and the resulting video is really funny. The fact that Tyson makes the punching sound effects as he is playing made me laugh. I think we all did that when we played this game.

Nintendo announces the 2DS! [video]

Nintendo made several big announcements today and gamers are having mixed reactions. Fans were excited to hear that the Wii U would be getting a $50 price drop but the real shocker involved Nintendo's newest handheld system.

In a unexpected move Nintendo has just announced the newest member to the 3DS family, the Nintendo 2DS! This newest handheld will do everything that a 3DS can do but will not have the functionality of playing in 3D. The pricetag set with this handheld will be $130 which is great for those gamers on a budget. The 2DS will be able to play all 3DS and DS games and no longer has the "clamshell" folding body. Instead it looks like a 3DS that has been opened up all the way and is completely flat.

Now calm down gamers. If you have a 3DS there is no reason for you to buy a 2DS. Since the 3DS is packaged with the warning that it is for players 7 years old and up (because of the 3D younger players may hurt their eyes), the 2DS is being geared at younger gamer…

Concept art from The Legend of Zelda shows Link as an adult and old man!

The Legend of Zelda is one of Nintendo's biggest video game franchises and as the protagonist Link is one of the most recognizable Nintendo characters. Fans have seen Link as a young boy (Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, The Phantom Hourglass, ect.) and we have seen Link as a young man (Ocarina of Time, The Adventure of Link, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword). The one thing gamers have never truly seen is Link as an adult. (Yes, the skeletal warrior from Twilight Princess who teaches Link his new moves could be the adult version of Link from Ocarina of Time but since we see him as a skeleton fans don't truly count that.)

Fans can now take a look at 6 pieces of truly fascinating concept art from artist Katsuya Terada that features an adult Link as well as an elderly Link! It is not clear if these images ever went past his sketch pad but I think it would be really interesting to see a game where the player gets to control an older Link that has grown up in battle. It is also …

Fan trailer gives us a look at the Man of Steel sequel with Batman. [video]

With the news of Ben Affleck being cast as the new Batman in the Man of Steel sequel there has been a lot of talk about what the new film could be like. We of course know that Henry Cavill is coming back as Clark Kent / Superman and now rumors are beginning to circulate that Bryan Cranston could be cast as Lex Luther. With all this casting information it was certainly only a matter of time before one dedicated fan sat down to create their own personal fan trailer for the new film. Take a look at this pretty cool trailer below.

Mark Hamill and Tara Strong reunite as Joker and Harley Quinn in Tara Strong's Vine video!

Actors Mark Hamill and Tara Strong recently took a moment to rekindle an old flame the two of them once had. No, not them personally but their characters from the "Batman: Arkham" video game franchise. Mark Hamill had voiced the iconic Joker while Tara Strong voiced the ever sexy Harley Quinn. Strong posted a great Vine video of the two of them together talking (in character).

Finding Luigi - Legend of Parkour. [video]

Today, Nintendo released a documentary video for the famous green wearing Italian plumber, Luigi! The documentary, or mocumentary as it were, shows us that at one stage in his life Luigi was a parkour legend to those in the field. This mocumentary interviews well known video game bloggers and some of the most famous parkour and free runners out there today. "There was no one like him. In the early days, Parkour was just a pastime. But Luigi...The L Man...he made it into a discipline. He could jump higher. He could jump farther. He was everywhere. And then he was gone. He just slid off the map. And went underground. Finding Luigi documents Luigi's legendary rise to fame in Parkour and his sudden disappearance from the sport. Highlighting the L-Man's signature moves and incredible mechanics, and featuring testimonials from some of Luigi's closest friends and Parkour colleagues, this is one story you won't want to miss!" Enjoy!

DC reveals the new look for Lobo in the New 52!

If you thought that DC Comics was done reintroducing new looks for their characters then think again! DC Comics revealed today the new look for an old favorite; Lobo! This may confuse fans since we have seen Lobo in the comics already since the New 52 has launched. Turns out that that was not the real Lobo and now the real one is back and looking to solve this problem. ""A ruthless killer, Lobo is on a quest to kill the man who has taken his name," Harras says in the latest "What's New in the New 52" column on the DC Comics blog." DC Editor-in-Chief Bob Harras goes on to describe the new Lobo by saying,  "This Lobo is equal parts strong, vicious, and driven," said Harras. "There’s a darker and more logical idea about what a force of nature like him is capable of. After all, this is someone who can infiltrate high society, fly a space ship, and adhere to a very specific moral code that’s not your typical anti-hero one. Oh, and, this one-s…
