Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza

Image
I came across this and had to quickly share it. The creator of the blog Foogos has brilliantly recreated the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles logo made from the Turtles' favorite food itself, pizza. Inside the blog you'll find food creations that create the logos from many comic heroes or professional sports teams. "Foogos is nothing more than transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary for no other reason than, Why not?"
You can check out other food creations in their blog and Flickr album.

'Doctor Who Confidential' Canceled

Image
Since Doctor Who was revived in 2005 the show has always been followed by Doctor Who Confidential on BBC3. Doctor Who Confidential is a behind-the-scenes documentary style show in which the viewers are treated to cast interviews and an inside look at how the show is put together and why certain scenes made it into the episode.

The Guardian revealed today that the BBC plans to cancel Doctor Who Confidential after this season; which only has one episode left this coming Saturday. The BBC has been facing budget cuts across the board of up to 20 percent and BBC controller, Zai Bennett, has decided that Doctor Who Confidential has had its time and it should come to an end. It is a fine silver lining to know that the show is being canceled due to financial reasons and not lack of viewership but then again if viewership were higher would Doctor Who Confidential have been targeted?
Though it might not bring the show back, a twitter account to Save DWC has been created and already has 5,110 f…

'The Shining' Gets A Sequel!

Image
Stephen King has officially announced that his classic 1970's book The Shining will be getting a sequel. The sequel will be titled Dr. Sleep and will be focused around the character of Danny Torrance after he has grown up.

Yesterday morning, King's official site posted the following:

It's now official--Stephen is working on Dr. Sleep, the sequel to The Shining.  This weekend Steve read an excerpt from this at his appearance at George Mason University.  They have given us permission to post their taping of the event here on Steve's site which we will do as soon as we receive the file.  Dr. Sleep's plot includes a traveling group of vampires called The Tribe which is part of the passage he read from. While talking to those in attendance at George Mason University, he stated:
This is an idea that I’ve had for some time. I wrote a novel in the ’70s called The shining… I always wondered what happened to that kid, Danny Torrance, when he grew up… and this story star…

"The Wedding of River Song" Prequel

Image
We're coming up to the last episode of Season 6 of the British Sci-Fi hit Doctor Who and Steven Moffat (head writer and executive producer) has released one final prequel.

The prequel itself isn't that "new" and the only reason I say that is because we have seen photos from this prequel as promotional shots or seen parts of it in previous trailers. If you haven't seen those things though then this may be all new to you and exciting so enjoy!

Catwoman's Full Costume

Image
I previously reported on the Catwoman costume that Anne Hathaway would be wearing in The Dark Knight Rises. I was originally skeptical because she did not have some sort of headpiece or mask that we are used to seeing on Catwoman. In the official photo she is just wearing goggles. Those concerns have been addressed and we can now take a look at a more complete Catwoman costume from the set of The Dark Knight Rises.

Though we now officially have a mask and cat ears this wasn't really what I was expecting from Christopher Nolan. We can see that Hathaway is wearing different boots (look at the heals) in these photos but the peculiar aspect of these photos is the resemblance of the mask/ears to the goggles that we saw in the first official photo. Looking at the side angle photo it almost looks like the ears may slide down over the eyes creating the goggles from the first photo. Though this is a pretty cool aspect, the fact remains that with the ears up Anne Hathaway's Catwoman loo…
