Jack the Giant Slayer trailer puts a new spin on an old tale! [video]

A new full length trailer has been released for Bryan Singer's Jack the Giant Slayer has fans looking at the classic fairy tale Jack and the Bean Stalk in a whole new way.
"A modern day fairy tale in which the long-standing peace between men and giants is threatened, as a young farmer leads an expedition into the giants' kingdom in hopes of rescuing a kidnapped princess." The studio delayed this film in order to better the effects and CGI and after watching this trailer it is clear that the delay was the right choice. The trailer looks great and definitely has me interested to see this film. Will this modern day retelling of this classic fairy tale be a success? Let me know what you think in the comments.

Jack the Giant Slayer will open in theaters on March 1, 2013.

New deleted scene lights the way for Thor to return to Earth! [video]

Marvel always seems to have some tricks up its sleeves and they have just pulled out another. They have just released a brand new deleted scene from the ending of Thor. The scene shows us Dr. Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgard) working with a team of scientists and then pans up to the roof where we see Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and Darcy (Kat Dennings) shooting a beacon of light into the sky to guide Thor (Chris Hemsworth) back to Earth the next time he tries to visit. It's definitely a cute scene but one that I can understand getting cut. It really only serves the purpose of showing us that Jane still wanted to see Thor again, which we already knew. But its still a cute scene that would have been cool to have in the movie. What do you think of this deleted scene? Let me know in the comments.

Rival Smugglers - Malcolm Reynolds vs Han Solo!

Take a look at this great piece of fan art created by artist Joel Watson that brings Star Wars and Firefly together! Titled "Rival Smugglers", it features Han Solo (riding the Millennium Falcon) and Malcolm 'Mal' Reynolds (riding on the Serenity) flying past one another while yelling at the other.

If there could be some kind of story that puts these two characters together I would certainly see it!

Actor Jeremy Renner hosted Saturday Night Live this past weekend and reprised his role as The Avengers character Hawkeye. In one particularly funny skit, Renner pokes fun of his Avengers character and the fact that he is nothing more than a ace archer on a team with a demigod, super-soldier and unstoppable rage monster. So what will this ace archer do when he runs out of arrows in the middle of a battle? Watch the skit to find out!

With carefully selected scenes from various movies, this trailer perfectly portrays life for our young heroes and villains as they try to survive high school. Watch for character appearances by big names such as Bruce Wayne and Harvey Dent to Johnny Crane and Victor Freeze. The trailer is well cut and definitely worth watching. Can you name all the films that make up the scenes of this trailer?
