This could confirm the recent rumor that LucasFilm wanted to open up the Star Wars universe and possibly create spin-off movies that focus around an individual character or groups/organizations within the Star Wars universe. How about a movie on the The Mandalorian Wars? If Disney is faithful to the franchise, and there is no reason to think they wouldn't be, this could be pretty cool if they choose some great characters and stories to create. And lets hope that they have some great stories because if they start putting out average stories for the sake of…

Life size Hylian Shield from The Legend of Zelda made from LEGOs!

One fan has taken his love of the Nintendo video game franchise The Legend of Zelda and LEGOs and combined them to create one of the coolest LEGO builds I have seen in quite a while. Not only did Remi Gagne, aka Bolt of Blue (on Flickr), create Link's Hylian Shield from The Legend of Zelda out of LEGO pieces but it is lifesize and appears to be wearable if he chose to hold it like an actual shield!

The shield is lifesize, has the curvature of the actual shield, and even has a handle and arm strap with buckle in the back. This brilliant creation won 'Best Use of Color' in the Art/Mosiac/Sculpture category at BrickCon 2012.

Look inside the full article to see photos of the back of the shield and a zoomed in shot of the shield and its LEGO pieces.
