Professor X fires Rogue from the X-Men! [video]

Professor X certainly has been getting rid of a lot of dead weight on the X-Men team lately and in Pete Holmes' new comedy sketch for "Ex-Men" the Professor sits down to fire another team member. This time Professor X has called in Rogue to his office and it seems that her affectionate nature has caused her to be a liability to the team.

Who do you think could be next to get the ax?

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer!

Wow! Sony has released the first trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and there is a lot to think about in this trailer! This trailer should make everyone really excited for the film. First reactions seem to be mixed that there will be three villains in the film (Rhino, Electro, and Green Goblin) but with what the trailer seems to be teasing it should work out just fine. (Read below the video to see what I am referring to.) This trailer shows plenty of action and I for one am definitely excited to see this movie! (I actually got to be an extra in a really cool scene in this film during filming in New York City so that adds to my excitement!)

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will swing into theaters on May 2, 2014.

*Possible spoilers ahead.

This trailer definitely teases that the Sinister Six will be coming into the franchise. We even get to see Doctor Octopus' mechanical arms and Vulture's wings at the 2:14 mark!

New X-Men movie is announced - X-Men: Apocalypse!

X-Men: Days of Future Past is not even in the theaters but fans of the X-Men franchise received some big news today! It has been announced and confirmed by Bryan Singer that there will be a new X-Men film out May 27, 2016; X-Men: Apocalypse!

This is huge news. Apocalypse is a big villain in the X-Men universe. He is an ancient mutant who was born about 5,000 years ago in Egypt. He believes in cleansing the world and that the strongest are the only ones that should survive. He is extremely intelligent, is immortal and immune to aging, has total control over the molecules of his body which allows him to change it at will to suit his needs, has regenerative abilities, telepathy, telekinesis, technopathy (link up with technology), and can give himself any superhuman power. This isn't even all of his abilities. Wow. Good luck, X-Men!

It appears that this film will be a direct sequel to X-Men:Days of Future Past and would fit quite well. Are you excited to see Apocalypse on the big scree…

New poster for the Doctor Who Christmas special!

The BBC has released a new poster for the upcoming Christmas special for Doctor Who! The episode will be titled "The Time of the Doctor" and will be actor Matt Smith's last episode as the Doctor. The poster comes with the tagline "A change is going to come..." and fans know that this means they will be getting a new Doctor. However, some recent interview with show runner Steven Moffat have suggested that more than just the Doctor could be changing in this episode. He has hinted that a part of the Doctor Who mythology could change. Could this have to do with the Doctor's regenerations or is it something that fans won't see coming?

Wonder Woman cast for the Batman vs Superman film!

Warner Bros. and Director Zack Snyder have just announced who they have cast for the role of Wonder Woman in the upcoming "Batman vs Superman" film. The actress to finally get to play the Amazonian Princess on the big screen is Gal Gadot (Fast and Furious). She will play opposite Henry Cavill (Superman) and Ben Affleck (Batman). Rumors have been flying around that Wonder Woman would be making an appearance but this is the first confirmation fans have received and we even got to find out who is playing her!

Fan reactions seem to be split at the announcement but Gadot has the tough look going for her. She'll definitely have to put on some muscle but you can bet the production will put her on a heavy workout routine. When asked about the casting Snyder said:
“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect fo…

New interview with Paul McGann about his return to Doctor Who! [video]

Fans of the British sci-fi show Doctor Who got a huge surprise for the 50th Anniversary and it wasn't even in the 50th Anniversary episode itself. It came in the form of a prequel where beloved Eighth Doctor, Paul McGann, finally came back to the show in the minisode titled "The Night of the Doctor". Paul McGann played the Doctor in the 1996 tv movie but then never returned to the screen as the show was not picked up by FOX. His Doctor did however live on in many audio adventures. His appearance in "The Night of the Doctor" connected the Eighth Doctor audio adventures with the tv series and finally let fans see the Eighth Doctor regenerate.

The BBC has now released a behind-the-scenes video interview with Paul McGann in which he discusses his return to the show and his new costume. One of the great things about this interview is that you can really see how much McGann loves the show and the character of the Doctor when he speaks.

I for one was extremely happy he…

New behind-the-scenes video is released for Star Wars Rebels. [video]

Lucasfilm has just released a new behind-the-scenes video for the upcoming animated show Star Wars Rebels! This great video shows Executive Producer Greg Weisman talking about the show and what fans can expect to see in it. He also takes a few moments to talk about his work history and history of being a Star Wars fan himself. The more I hear about this show the more I get excited about it. "Star Wars Rebels leans towards Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope in terms of tone, Weisman explains, and shows the early days of the Rebellion. When the series begins, the Rebellion is not yet organized, and the series will show how the Alliance forms over the course of seasons. "That is tremendously exciting," he says." Enjoy!

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 high res posters reveal a lot about the film!

*Possible Spoilers ahead*

Recently 3 posters were revealed for the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 that connected to make one large poster and fans were pretty shocked at what they saw. The posters revealed quite a bit about the upcoming film including the fact that we will now be getting three villains for Spidey to fight, not two like we had initially thought. The posters are pretty cool too. If you look at these posters who can see that this Spider-Man is clearly from the Ultimate Spider-Man  universe. You have Spidey's new suit with the much large expressive eyes, Electro's "Ultimate" suit, and even the more robotic looking Rhino. Fans are already expressing their dislike of the Rhino's suit but we have seen in set photos that the Rhino will be able to stand upright so I am curious to see how that will look.

One last very interesting point is that the Green Goblin is flying around as the third villain in the film. Take a closer look and you'll see that …

Forging the sword Sting from The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings! [video]

Watch as master swordsmith Tony Swatton forges the legendary sword Sting from The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings from live metals. What makes this week's build even cooler is that Swatton got a request to really make the blade "glow blue" like in the books and films and he was happy to oblige. The final result of the sword looks fantastic and the blue effect that he put on the blade looks awesome. I know that fans of the books and films will love this episode of Man at Arms.

Find out why Wolverine, not Kitty Pryde, will be time traveling in X-Men: Days of Future Past!

Fans have been curious as to why it will be the hero Wolverine going back in time instead of Kitty Pryde, like in the comics, in the upcoming film X-Men: Days of Future Past. Well we now have an answer straight from writer Simon Kinberg whom in an interview with Total Film Magazine explained why they made the change. "We made the decision for a lot of reasons, some of them obvious and some of them more nuanced, to make it Wolverine who goes back in time. One reason is that he's the protagonist of the franchise, and probably the most beloved character to a mass audience. Probably the bigger reason is that when we started thinking about the logistical realities of Kitty's consciousness being sent back in time, to her younger self, as opposed to her physical body being sent was impossible. Obviously in the book it's Kitty..but you're talking about an actress (Ellen Page) who, in the age of Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy, would have been negative 20 year…
