The Doctor Travels To ... Narnia?

Doctor Who is taking center stage as the annual BBC Children in Need charity event takes off. Every year, Doctor Who releases a small minisode, sketch, or preview for the Christmas episode. This year we received a sketch and preview!

The sketch is funny enough as the Doctor talks to you about his wardrobe and how you can call in to buy his clothing at auction to benefit the charity. We are then treated to a small preview trailer for the upcoming Christmas special which has been titled The Doctor, The Widow, and The Wardrobe. Its abundantly clear that this years Christmas special is taking after C.S. Lewis' The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. And why not? Last year was based off of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. For C.S. Lewis fans, we even get to see the Doctor travel into 'Narnia' in the trailer. And did I happen to see a yellow-ish Stormtrooper?? Anyway, enjoy the sketch and trailer for The Doctor, The Widow, and The Wardrobe!

Snow White vs Snow White

2012 is set to see the release of not one but two Snow White movies. This of course sounds ridiculous but now that both movies have released their first trailer we can see that it may actually work. Directed by Rupert Sanders and staring Kristen Stewart (Twilight) as Snow White, a huntsman (Chris Helmsworth; Thor) is ordered to take Snow White into the woods and kill her. However, he winds up becoming her protector and mentor in an adventure to vanquish the Evil Queen (Charlize Theron; Aeon Flux, Hancock).

Snow White and the Huntsman

While creating its own unique twist to the fairy tale, Mirror, Mirror takes the route of a comedy. It is being directed by Jacob Grimm (Immortals) and stares Lily Collins (Priest, The Blind Side) as Snow White. In this tale, Snow White and the sev…

Doctor Who Movie - Rumor or Truth?

Well, it's that time again! Time for another Doctor Who movie rumor! Whispers of a Doctor Who movie have come and gone many times over the years and they are inevitably always shot down. Will this newest rumor be able to survive and become truth or will it wither away and be forgotten like the rumors before it?

Director David Yates, most notable for directing the last four Harry Potter films, is said to be working with the BBC to create a full motion picture for Doctor Who. This news may excite people as Yates did amazing work with the Potter films but they shouldn't jump up and down just yet. Yates has no plans on using any Doctors or continuity from the television series. That's right. All continuity will be broken and there is no chance that any of the previous Doctors or the current 11th Doctor played by Matt Smith will make an appearance in this film.
"It needs quite a radical transformation to take it into the bigger arena."
