Watch Deadpool and Batman go toe to toe in Super Power Beatdown! [video]

If comic universes collided and the deadly Marvel assassin Deadpool looked to take down the ultimate DC detective, Batman, who would come out victorious? That is what this video from Bat In The Sun looks to answer in the newest episode of Super Power Beatdown. Watch as Deadpool (complete with all his normal antics) and Batman go toe to toe in this epic fight!
*Actual fight begins at the 2:20 mark.

Some personal thoughts: I really like the cameo appearances from other DC characters besides Batman. Glad to see that as it helped create the story for this video. Using Liz Katz as Catwoman was a nice touch and all of the costumes used for this video were incredible. Wow. I also have to admit that Deadpool spraying Catwoman with the spray bottle made me crack up. I loved the addition of the 1989 film Batmobile and thought it was a great touch. Really nailed the Deadpool personality. Deadpool jokes during the fight were great!

Take a look at Peter Jackson and Ian McKellen on McKellen's last day as Gandalf on The Hobbit set!

Director Peter Jackson posted a new photo today to his Facebook page that featured himself and Ian McKellen dressed as Gandalf the Grey from the set of The Hobbit films. The sad thing about this photo is that this was taken seconds after they completed all of Gandalf's scenes with McKellen. Jackson captioned the photo by saying, "Seconds ago we finished our last shot with Gandalf. The end of an incredible adventure that began in 1999. I'm feeling very sad right now." It has been an incredible (almost) 15 years with McKellen playing the wise wizard Gandalf. Fans still have two more films to look forward to with McKellen but these very well may be the last that we see Gandalf. Thank you Sir Ian McKellen for an incredible journey that millions of fans will never forget. We look forward to see what brilliance you bring to the next two The Hobbit films!

"Spider-Man No More" art features all of Spidey's suits!

Artist "m7781" on Deviant Art has created a brilliant piece of art that puts a spin on the classic "Spider-Man No More" panel from The Amazing Spider-Man #50. The drawing takes the iconic comic panel where Peter Parker has just given up his role as Spider-Man and tossed the suit in a back alley trash can and adds some flare by putting in not just Peter's original suit but all the various suits that Peter has worn throughout his Spider-Man career.

The iconic panel was actually recreated recently in Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #23 where Miles Morales dumps his suit into a trash can as well. The original panel and Ultimate Comics Spider-Man panel can be seen here. Fans may have also seen this moment in the Sam Raimi film Spider-Man 2.

Adult Link battle hardened in great piece of art!

Take a look at this great piece of art that features an older Link from The Legend of Zelda franchise by Nintendo. This particular Link appears to be Link from The Wind Waker, now older and battle hardened. The artist is unknown but Id love to play/read the adventures that Link faced in his later years. I also love the armor on this left arm. Nice touch!

DC superheroes get a new design for Justice League 3000!

The DC heroes are jumping into the future in the new upcoming DC comic Justice League 3000. The heroes making the jump are Batman, Green Lantern, Superman, The Flash, and Wonder Woman. However, we can't expect our heroes to be wearing the same old costumes almost a thousand years in the future. Artist Howard Porter has updated the costumes to reflect a new story and new time period. Comic Book Resources explained a little about the comic by stating: "The book will feature versions of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and the Flash as redesigned by artist Howard Porter, presumably taking the iconic heroes one millennium ahead of where we are now. And while the creative team on the book doubtlessly have comedy chops, touches from a militaristic Superman to a mace-wielding Wonder Woman hint that "Justice League 3000" will take up the torch of the creators more serious adventure stories -- of which many were included in their original JL run." The Hero’s Journey explained by Glove and Boots! [video]

"The Hero's Journey" is a popular literary theory created by Joseph Cambell (also known as the "monomyth") in 1949. This theory outlines the basic story structure and characters that most stories will follow in order to deliver the story to the reader (or viewer). Take a look at this funny video that has Fafa and Mario, from Glove and Boots, explain the hero's journey using classic films (as well as Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore!).

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows - Leonardo Trailer! [video]

A new trailer has been released for the video game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and this time it focuses on the Turtles' leader, Leonardo. This newest trailer gives fans a great look at the move set of Leonardo's and from what we see it looks to be pretty extensive. The moves that are being pulled off in this trailer are great.  "The oldest brother, Leonardo is the leader of the four Turtles -- an accomplished tactician possessing a discipline and focus as sharp as his blades. His selfless sense of responsibility for the family sometimes puts him at odds with the headstrong Raphael, who too often only thinks of himself. "

You can watch the Michelangelo trailer now if you haven't seen it.

SMASH - A Smash Bros. music video!

Angie and Chad over at Screen Team have created another brilliant video and this time It is for the hit video game Super Smash Bros. Brawl! I'm always excited to watch their videos since they are filled with originality and this one does not disappoint. Watch as Screen Team performs their song "Smash" while dressed as your favorite Smash Bros. characters. The cosplays used for this video were very well done as well. So kudos to the costume maker! The video in incredibly well made and I loved the part where the Nintendog pops up in front of the screen. "We do all the writing, producing, costume creating, etc ourselves. We also fund everything out of our own pocket. For Smash Bros we wanted to try something special, so we came up with 27 costumes, built a set in the back yard, had a couple friends over and made a video! This is what we love doing and are so thankful for all the support!" Enjoy!

A very big thank you to Elijah for bringing this wonderful video to…

The meaning of deaths in Harry Potter.

J.K. Rowling created an in depth world in the Harry Potter universe that fans would loose themselves in when reading the books. Locations were vivid and detailed and the characters were developed and lovable (even the evil ones!). However, soon fans would soon see that their favorite characters may not be safe from the cold hands of death and that deaths in the Harry Potter universe had a significant meaning behind them.   *Possible spoilers in photo.

Link battles the Knife Lord in this amazing The Legend of Zelda stop motion video!

Take a look at this amazing stop motion animated video of Link from Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda battling through Stage 1 of a new adventure and taking on the boss, The Knife Lord.
