Harry Potter series representated by 7 scenes

These adorable drawings were commissioned as a scene representation from each book in the Harry Potter series and artist Katie Cook came up with this interpretation. She chooses some fun and memorable scenes from each book and her drawing style is just too cute. Well done!  *Click image to enlarge.

The Legend of Korra - New Locations

As The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra gets closer to its release on Nickelodeon fans are eager for glimpses of the show and what this new tale has to offer. The newest image to surface is a painting of a new location that was built by our favorite Airbender himself, Avatar Aang. Home to Aang's son, Tenzin, and his family, this location is named Air Temple Island. The painting is exceptionally done and the island looks great. Cannot wait for the show to begin so that we can see it up close!

The second painting is of "various bridges and Downtown Station in Republic City". This painting really shows us how thanks to certain advancements, like those from the Fire Nation, that the world has certainly moved into an Industrial Age.

Pixar's Han and Leia

An extremely cute mash-up between Up and Star Wars shows us what Han and Leia would look like had they been created by Pixar. Drawn by James Hance this photo depicts Han and Leia as the main characters from the movie Up and is absolutely adorable!

Nickelodeon and IGN have just released the newest trailer for the upcoming series The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra! It is packed with some great footage and shows a lot of action. From the trailer we can see that a lot has changed in the world since we last saw it 70 years earlier. We also get a glimpse of Korra using 3 out of the 4 elements and training to use the last element, Air, under the guidance of Aang's son, Tenzin.

This trailer definitely has me excited and I cannot wait!
The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra will air on Nickelodeon later this year.

First 2 set photos from Star Trek sequel

There has been a lot of news circulating around J.J. Abram's upcoming Star Trek sequel but fans are now being treated to the first two set photos. The first photo shows Benedict Cumberbatch (character unknown) fighting with Zachary Quinto (Spock) as Quinto applys the Vulcan nerve pinch. The second photo released shows us Zoe Saldana (Uhura) pointing a phaser at Cumberbatch.

There's no news as to who Cumberbatch is playing in the upcoming sequel but it appears as though he'll definitely be in the thick of things.

Fire Emblem: Awakening trailer

Nintendo released the Japanese trailer for the upcoming Fire Emblem: Awakening for the 3DS today. The trailer looks great and the game play looks like it'll bring the franchise back into the hearts of its fans. I cannot wait for this game! Wow!

This "Death of Spider-Man" motion comic will make you feel like you just lived this heartbreaking adventure.

Last April it was announced that Ultimate Spider-Man would be dying and that a new Spider-Man would pick up where he left off. The idea of Peter Parker dying was a hard sell for many fans but it was happening whether they liked it or not. When the time came, the comic and story were well handled. It is an amazing story of a 16 year old boy's bravery in the face of certain peril. The story also shows amazing loyalty from Peter’s family and friends. It was certainly a great send off for Peter.

Recently, a fan made motion comic was brought to my attention and I thought that I should give it a chance. I liked the printed comic so I thought I would like this as well. I really must say that I am glad that I gave it a chance. It has a 22 minute run time and is well worth the time. Directed by Andrew S. Bates and Thomas Andrew Lawson, this motion comic is simply incredible! The voice acting throughout the comic is extremely well done by all. Andrew Bates does an amazing job as the voice o…

Nintendo Direct news for North America

Early this morning, Nintendo held not one but three Nintendo Direct broadcasts (Japan, Europe, and North America) to discuss with fans some of the new games that are on their way and the exciting features that they have. Reggie Fils-Aime, President and COO of Nintendo of America, introduced the North America direct feed and got right down to business. You can watch the NA Nintendo Direct broadcast in its entirety below.

First up was a 3DS eShop purchase called Dillion's Rolling Western, which features an armadillo as the lead character. This is a strategy/action game set in the wild west. It is available in the eShop right now for $10 and with a 20 hour (at least) gameplay time this could be worth the money for Nintendo fans out there.

Next up was the much anticipated Kid Icarus: Uprising for the 3DS which will be released March 23rd. This 3D shooter is truly packed with features. The game will have three control styles which include the circle pad, the touch screen, and the L-but…

Arthur Weasley joins Doctor Who!

Filming for season 7 of the British sci-fi show Doctor Who began yesterday and a few photos from the set have already made their way on to the web. The show will star Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill as it has for the previous two seasons but we already know that at some point that Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill will be leaving the show. However, there is a new casting shown to us through these photos that we were not aware of. Mark Williams, best known for his role as Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter films, will be guest staring in the upcoming season. Whether his role is a one time appearance or a few episodes is not yet known and neither is his actual role. There is some speculation that he could be the father of Arthur Darvill's character Rory Williams. Looking at Mark Williams' set photo, you can see a resemblance to Rory that would support this casting theory.

New cast photos from The Hunger Games

The official website for The Hunger Games has been updated to include several new photos of the film's cast. I have to say that I really like the athletic top that the tributes wear into the games.

Doctor Who - Call Me Sexy

The British sci-fi show Doctor Who has been exciting fans since 1963. Since then, the blue Police Box known as the TARDIS (the Doctor's ship which stands for Time and Relative Dimension in Space) has become an iconic sci-fi symbol. Throughout the years however, the prop used for the TARDIS has had a few minor exterior modifications. Paul Hanley has created this photo of the different TARDIS exterior looks throughout the shows run. He even included Idris, the temporary human host to the TARDIS from the Season 6 episode The Doctor's Wife. Well done, Paul. This photo is fantastic!

Invading Mos Eisley

Ulises Farinas was commissioned to create a piece of art and the end result was a sci-fi mash-up that is a must see. Centered in Mos Eisley, this piece of art features many great Star Wars characters but also has many sci-fi characters hidden throughout. You can see the Tenth Doctor and his TARDIS parked near the center of the photo and Batman chasing down a criminal with a light saber on a roof. Although this photo is set up like a Where's Waldo, Farinas did tweet that he does not remember if he actually put Waldo in the photo. I have not yet found him myself. If you spot Waldo please comment the location. I've spotted quite a few other characters however. How many other characters can you find invading this photo of Mos Eisley?

1st clip of The Amazing Spider-Man

Fans can now get their first glimpse at the The Amazing Spider-Man with this clip released by "The Mark of the Spider-Man". Its a short clip at 46 second and explains why Peter thought Gwen Stacey's doorman was so intimidating in the movie trailer. The Amazing Spider-Man will hit theaters on July 3, 2012.

Tetris leggings (And bonus Pac-Man dress!)

Tetris was one of the first puzzle games that captivated the gaming world and since its released gamers have never stopped loving it. Capturing the love of the game, Black Milk Clothing have created leggings that are covered in the iconic colorful blocks. They even have the score and level data printed near the waist of the leggings. They look comfortable and I am sure that they will surely attract gamers' gazes. These Tetris leggings are made in Australia, and cost $80 (USD). This may be a steep price but if you are a fan of the game and have the money, it could be a fun purchase.
