Director Joe Russo discusses Thanos' lack of armor in Avengers: Infinity War.

Every time we have seen Josh Brolin's Thanos in Marvel films he has been wearing ornate armor that gave him an intimidating look. However, when his new look was revealed at the D23 Expo he was not wearing any armor. While talking to IGN director Joe Russo explained why Thanos is no longer wearing the armor that we are used to seeing him in.
""[Thanos] has a more casual approach in this film, and it's very philosophical for him," explained Russo at San Diego Comic-Con. "It's part of his character definition. It's a spiritual journey for him to collect the Stones, and one with which he doesn't need armor. Once he starts acquiring the Stones, he doesn't need armor in the same way he did when he was a war lord. It's a very symbolic costume.""
What do you think of Thanos' new look for Avengers: Infinity War?
