Nintendo of America President, Reggie Fils-Aime, announces retirement.
It's the end of an era. It was announced today that Nintendo of America President, Reggie Fils-Aime, will be retiring on April 15, 2019. Reggie will be replaced by Doug Bowser who is the current Head of Sales and Marketing. Reggie has been with Nintendo of America for 15 years and served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing and currently the President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Since his first public appearance at E3 in 2004 Reggie has been a gamer celebrity who soon became the face of Nintendo of America. The fact that Reggie himself is a gamer allowed him to share fans' excitement and relate to what they wanted to see from the company.
