Alec Baldwin is cast as Thomas Wayne in Todd Phillips’ Joker film.

It looks like Todd Phillips’ Joker film has just added another big name to it's cast. Actor Alec Baldwin will be joining the film and it's looking like he is set to play Thomas Wayne, aka Bruce Wayne's father. There is no word yet if a younger Bruce will be in the film but this certainly does set the time frame for the film at least. It has been rumored that the film will center on how exactly Joker became the criminal mastermind that we know him as.

Alec Baldwin joins the cast along side Joaquin Phoenix (in the title role), Marc Maron, Robert De Niro, Frances Conroy, and Zazie Beetz.
