Justice League cinematographer confirms that scenes were shot with Superman wearing his black suit.

It seems as though one of the biggest fan requests of the Justice League film was almost fulfilled. Cinematographer Fabian Wagner who worked on Justice League spoke to Inverse and confirmed that scenes with Henry Cavill as Superman were shot where Superman donned his classic '90s black suit.
"“There were [scenes shot]. It’s a cool looking costume. Sadly, we didn’t see that either in the final cut.”"
The scenes were unfortunately cut from the final version of the film but maybe someday fans will get a glimpse of the suit via behind the scenes photos or even the Zack Snyder cut of the film that fans are petitioning for.
"In 1993, a year after Superman was killed by Doomsday in The Death of Superman, the titular hero came back to life in Superman: The Man of Steel #25 and Superman #81 wearing a black jumpsuit with a silver “S” instead of his usual red/yellow symbol. (Also, he didn’t wear a cape.)"
It was a look that fans loved and I remember picking up those issues when I was younger and thinking that he looked so much cooler in the black than the red and blue. It was a radical change for the hero and it is a shame that we didn't get to see it on the big screen.
