Fox / Disney deal goes through - Welcome home to Marvel, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool!

IT HAPPENED!! Disney has officially acquired 21st Century Fox and for Marvel fans that means only one thing - Marvel Studios is getting back the film rights to a lot of fan favorite characters!

It's my real pleasure to finally welcome home the first family of Marvel, the Fantastic Four along with the X-Men and Deadpool! I can't believe that this actually happened. I am so happy!

While talking to investor, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that the much loved characters would be coming home to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"We’re also looking forward to expanding the Marvel cinematic universe to include X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool"

Iger also acknowledged that certain characters like Deadpool have down well outside the normal Disney/Marvel formula and stated that Deadpool will stay Rated-R and that they may even be able to manage a "Marvel-R brand" as long as audiences are aware of what the film is like concerning the rating.

It may take a while to work them into the MCU but never say never that some references towards these properties could be dropped in upcoming Marvel films very soon.
