Step aside Pokemon GO; New augmented reality Harry Potter game is announced for mobile phones - Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.

The rumors are rumors no longer! As a follow-up to the wildly popular AR game (augmented reality) Pokemon GO (and Ingress prior to that) Niantic Labs has announced that it is partnering up with Warner Bros.' Portkey Games to bring fans a unique AR experience inspired by Harry Potter!

This new AR game will be titled Harry Potter: Wizards Unite and is set to be released for mobile phones some time in 2018. Fans will be able to view JK Rowling's wizarding world in their own neighborhoods and create unique experiences depending on where they travel and what they do in the game.

"Harry Potter: Wizards Unite uses state-of-the-art augmented reality technology to reveal the magic all around us. Explore real-world neighbourhoods and cities to discover mysterious artifacts, learn to cast spells, and encounter legendary beasts and iconic characters along the way!"
Are you ready to explore the wizarding world?
