Dave Bautista talks about Drax's role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.

When the trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 was released there were a few parts that fans could not stop talking about and one of them belonged to Dave Bautista's Drax the Destroyer. Drax's laughing at Star-Lord at the end of the trailer had people laughing hysterically themselves. Drax was a character that fans most likely did not expect to enjoy so much but he has completely grown on them and according to director James Gunn, people are loving him in the new film.

Dave Buatista sat down with Collider to talk about a few of his upcoming projects and commented on Drax's role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.
"“It’s an extended version of the first film, for the Drax character. There’s just a lot more … most people’s first perception of Drax would be he’s just a big, muscly brute, and he’s just going to go in and be an all-action character. But he’s more funny, driven … there’s a lot more of that. He gets closer and more caring with the other Guardians, and they become more of a solid family in this one. If I had to put a tag on this second film I would say ‘family,’ that’s kind of the theme.”"
Drax was great in the first film and I am excited to see how he'll be with more screen time and interactions with the team.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 will be in theaters on May 5, 2017.
