Star Wars' Carrie Fisher passes away at age 60.

It is with great sadness that I report that actress Carrie Fisher has passed away. Last week Carrie suffered a heart attack aboard her flight to Los Angeles. She was brought to the hospital where she was able to be stabilized but it has been confirmed by her daughter, Billie Lourd, that at 8:55 this morning Carrie passed away at the age of 60. That is far too young to be taken.

Most notably known for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise, Carrie Fisher meant a lot to many people. Her passing will be felt world wide in those who loved her for her role in Star Wars, those who loved her books, and to those who looked up to her and loved her as a person.

My thoughts and condolences to Carrie's family and friends as they mourn the loss of their loved one.

May the Force be with you, Carrie.
