Mouse Guard graphic novels set to be adapted to a live action film.

It appears that the Eisner-award winning graphic novel series Mouse Guard will be adapted into a live action film and as a reader of the comic this is exciting news. Mouse Guard comes from writer and illustrator David Petersen The film will be produced by Matt Reeves (director of Cloverfield and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) and will be written by Gary Whitta (a writer from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story).

Comic synopsis:
"In the world of Mouse Guard, mice struggle to live safely and prosper amongst harsh conditions and a host of predators. Thus the Mouse Guard was formed: more than just soldiers, they are guides for common mice looking to journey without confrontation from one village to another. They see to their duty with fearless dedication so that they may not simply exist, but truly live."
I am very excited about this. The film is set to use the same motion capture technology from Rise of the Planet of the Apes and the new The Jungle Book films to bring the characters to life. At the moment there is no set release date but this is one medieval era film that I will not miss.
