The school houses for Ilvermorny have been discovered!

Big new, Harry Potter fans! It looks as though the school houses for the American wizarding school, Ilvermorny, have been discovered!

While going though Pottermore's source codes, one fan has seemed to discover the names of the houses for an upcoming Ilvermorny sorting quiz. (See the source link below to see the Pottermore source code.)

Ilvermorny Houses:
Wampus, Thunderbird, Pukwudgie, and Horned Serpent.

Thought there is no additional information on the house we do know that these are creatures from folklore and mythology. Here are some brief descriptions to the creatures according to real world mythology (as opposed to wizard mythology).
"The Wampus is “a creature in American folklore, variously described as some kind of fearsome variation of a cougar.”
The Thunderbird is a “legendary creature in certain North American indigenous peoples’ history and culture. It is considered a supernatural bird of power and strength. It is especially important, and frequently depicted, in the art, songs and oral histories of many Pacific Northwest Coast cultures, and is found in various forms among the peoples of the American Southwest, Great Lakes, and Great Plains.”
The Pukwudgie is “a two-to-three-foot-tall (61 to 91 cm) being from the Wampanoag folklore. Pukwudgies’ features resemble those of a human, but with enlarged noses, fingers and ears. Their skin is described as being a smooth grey, and at times has been known to glow.”
The Horned Serpent “appears in the mythologies of many Native Americans. Details vary among tribes, with many of the stories associating the mystical figure with water, rain, lightning and/or thunder. Horned Serpents were major components of the Southeastern Ceremonial Complex of North American prehistory.”"
Some fans have taken to a literal comparison to Hogwarts houses saying that Wampus is Gryffindor, Thunderbird is Ravenclaw, Pukwudgie is Hufflepuff, and Horned Serpent is Slytherin. Personally, I don't think this is right. I doubt Rowling would do such a literal comparison. We also do not know how people are sorted and if personality is taken into account. It could be geographical, possibly tied to Native American regions for all we know.

It'll be very exciting when Pottermore finally reveals more I formation on Ilvermorny. We currently know extremely little about the school.

What do you think of these house names? Without know what the houses stand for, do you have one that stands out as one you'd want to be in?
