Samus Aran is called to action in the amazing fan film Metroid: The Sky Calls!

Many times fan films can be a lot of fun to watch but rarely do they leave you asking for more. When they do, it's usually you asking for more on the internet. However, the folks over at Rainfall Films have created a short fan film for Nintendo's Metroid series that will have you wanting it on the big screen!

Titled "Metroid: The Sky Calls", this fan film will leave you in awe. Metroid: The Sky Calls follows the intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran, played brilliantly by Jessica Chobot, as she attempts to answer a distress beacon left by the Chozo. With a fantastic retro feel to it, this film short is everything that you would want it to be and I would love to see more of this sometime soon!
"The classic Nintendo franchise, Metroid, envisioned through the lens of 60s-70s science fiction cinema such as 2001, Alien, and Solaris: this was the concept for Rainfall’s most recent production. Instead of using a modern approach, a style was developed more in tune with the themes that inspired the first Metroid game in 1986: isolation, exploration, and the wonders of deep space.
We hope you enjoy our take on the adventures of Samus Aran."
Enjoy!
