Ryan Reynolds kept a Deadpool costume from the film.

It's pretty common for actors to sneak a momento home from a film set. Usually it is something small and easy to take from set and usually their is a significant connection between the actor and the item. Actor Ryan Reynolds however went a different route. He took something big from the set of Deadpool. Very big.

It has certainly taken a long time for Deadpool to get green-lit and made and Ryan Reynolds waited patiently the whole time. He stuck with this film through thick and thin and from the footage we have seen it looks like his patience paid off. The film looks amazing.

In a recent interview, Ryan Reynolds revealed that he took an actual Deadpool suit from the set of the film.
""I loved wearing it and I have run away with one - I'll probably get into trouble for saying that, but I've waited 10 years to do this movie so I'm leaving with a f***ing suit,”"
Ryan Reynolds later commented on how being patient for this film to be made may have been the best thing he could do.
""Sometimes the long game pays off,” he said. “I never thought it would come to fruition, it's been an uphill battle but there was such an appetite for that character on screen.
"We did it with a relative pittance compared to most superhero films, but it really allowed us to explore the character. When you see the movie, you would think it's a $150 million film, but actually it's not at all.""
The love that Reynolds has for the character has always been very clear and I really hope that this film is a box office hit for him and for the fans who have also waited a long time for it to be made. I wonder what Reynolds will do with the suit. Charity appearances? Food shopping? Probably both.

Deadpool will be in theaters on February 12, 2016.
