New poster and trailer are released for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2!

Lionsgate has released an all new poster (seen above) and trailer for their upcoming film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2! The poster features Jennifer Lawrence in her new, red Mockingjay outfit with a mockingjay perched on her shoulder. The trailer on the other hand is titled "For Prim" and focuses solely on the relationship between Katniss and her younger sister Prim. For fans that read the book, you'll know the significance that this trailer holds. For those that didn't read the books, this may put their train of though on a route that could give away a major spoiler. The trailer itself is nice and has a lot of sentiment while showing footage from throughout the franchise but I don't think that it was a success for me personally. I'm more interested to see things about the new film than I am to see things from the previous ones.

Film synopsis:

"With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow [Donald Sutherland] in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale [Liam Hemsworth], Finnick [Sam Claflin], and Peeta [Josh Hutcherson] – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to liberate the citizens of Panem, and stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games."

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 will be in theaters on November 20, 2015.
