NBC brings a Heroes Reborn interactive fan experience to Times Square, NYC to give fans new powers!

In anticipation of the show's return on September 24, 2015, NBC put together a Heroes Reborn interactive fan experience in Times Square in New York City, NY. This fan experience took fans into the world of Heroes and gave them a "power" of their own. The building set up for the experience had show banners and large posters of all the new characters coming to the show as well as Noah Bennet to promote the characters and their driving force.

The experience was set up into two sections and fans could choose to do both or just one. The first section, which had a longer but worth while line, gathered people on line for a 4D interactive experience. A sign from the Department of Homeland Security was present that stated that all evolved humans were subject to genetic screening which set the mood of the world you were walking into. At the front of the line there was a large television playing a Heroes Reborn trailer and character bios. You were then brought into a small screening room where the agency screen your genetic make-up. You stood in front of a very large screen as you were scanned that showed an image of you as well as your heart and vitals. The scan revealed that you have the ability of pyrokinesis (the ability to create and control fire). Lights flashed around the room as you were instructed to destroy a set of targets on the screen. Two hands appeared on the screen that you controlled in real time with your own hands by waving them in front of you. Suddenly a hooded figure is hacking into the agency system and appeared on the screen asking you to help him destroy a room of computer servers filled with "evolved human's" information. As you help him set things on fire gusts of air and light smoke shot out at you. The figure thanked you for the help and you step out of the room into the second part of the fan experience.

The second part of the fan experience was a Heroes Reborn photograph that happened as soon as you walked out of the 4D room or you could have skipped the 4D room and gotten on a shorter line to do just the photo. In this photo you struck a hero's pose in front of a green screen and you were put into an image of a city back alley and had balls of fire put around your hands. You then entered your contact information on a computer to have a photo, a gif, and a video of you with your new ability texted and emailed to you. You received the photo in about 3 minutes which was great! Everyone's photos were then displayed in Times Square on one of the large screens.

This was a really fun experience and the photo is a fantastic souvenir for fans of the show. Thank you, NBC!
