Find out how long Spider-Man has been active in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Marvel fans have been waiting a very long time for Spider-Man to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe and at long last it is going to happen! Spider-Man will be making his Marvel debut in Captain America: Civil War but thanks to a subtle line thrown into Ant-Man we know that Peter Parker is already out there doing his thing as Spider-Man.

The big question now is how long will Peter Parker have been Spider-Man by the time we see him in Civil War? Well thanks to Heroic Hollywood we may have an [unconfirmed] answer!
"Peter Parker has been active as Spider-Man for a little over a year during the events of Captain America: Civil War. Just like Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Spider-Man is considered a myth, an urban legend.
In the upcoming 2017 Spider-Man standalone film, Peter Parker will have been active as Spider-Man for two years."
I had figured it to be somewhere around 6 months but I think it is brilliant that it'll be around a year and that Spider-Man is still considered an urban legend. I think it's a great start for the character. Are you excited to see Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? If this turns out to be the actual timeline for the character will you be happy with it? I know I will.

Captain America: Civil War will be in theaters on May 6, 2016.
