New, detailed theory for The Karate Kid suggests that Daniel is the real bully of the film!

A new video is beginning to circulate around the internet that may make you rethink the plot to the iconic 1984 film The Karate Kid. The film is set to have Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) as the big hero over coming the "villain" of the film, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). However, J. Matthew Turner sees things a little different and offers his theory in a great video explanation that walks you through the entire film. There is after all two sides to every story.

This new theory states that it was actually Johhny who is the hero of the film and that Daniel is actually a "violent sociopath" who moves to California and becomes a bully for Johnny and his friends. I've never looked at the film from this angle but the theory is actually well thought out and gives plenty of details to back it up. Turner admits that Johnny is a "flawed hero" but according to him there is no mistaking that he is indeed the hero.

Watch the video below to hear the entire theory and it's supporting details and let me know what you think of it.

Maybe Barney Stinson was on to something...
