The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past animated series is on Kickstarter - watch the first episode now!

Aeipathy Industries has started a Kickstarter campaign to bring the The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past manga that was written and illustrated by Akira Himekawa to life as an animated series. The first episode is done and can be watched now.

Check inside the full article for the first episode of the animated series and to find out more about the Kickstarter campaign.

Aeipathy Industries' Kickstarter has some great rewards for their supporters and some very interesting ideas for this series. They are looking to create 12 episodes total and have a wonderful voice cast on board which includes Vic Mignogna (Full Metal Alchemist), Todd Haberkorn (Full Metal Alchemist), Kent Williams (Dragon Ball Z Kai), and Kira Buckland (5 Centimeters per Second).
"We are raising funds to produce Zeldamotion: A Link to the Past - Episode 2 in a few months! Our biggest complaint is how long the episodes take, so lets eliminate that problem! Our end goal is to create 12 - 8 minute episodes which would complete the story, and make the equivalent of a 1.5 hour long film!"
Series synopsis:
"The land of Hyrule has been overtaken by the cunning wizard Agahnim, who is sacrificing the descendants of the seven sages in order to unleash a great and powerful evil from another world. Princess Zelda, the last remaining descendant, is captured, and uses her divine abilities to call out for the Hero of Legend to rescue her, and stop Agahnim from releasing the cataclysmic monstrosity that awaits beyond the Seal of the Seven Sages."
I am a huge fan of the The Legend of Zelda series, and have been since the original game, so this is extremely exciting to me. I'll warn fans now that Link does talk in this series but it is something that is required if you are going to make an animated series. I watched the first episode and it is a great set up to a larger story that I cannot wait to see.
