Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles promo video reveals that David Tennant will voice Fugitoid next season!

Nickelodeon has released a new promotional video for their hit show Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that introduces a new character name Fugitoid for Season 4. Fugitoid is being voiced by actor David Tennant (Doctor Who) and has a few surprises in store for fans in this video.

Fugitoid is an existing character in the TMNT universe but this will be his debut in the new Nickelodeon series. The announcement that Fugitoid was joining the cast was made at San Diego Comic Con. The character is an alien scientist named Professor Honeycutt who has his brain placed in the body of a robot.

If you listen to Fugitoid closely you can hear that Tennant makes two big references to other pieces of work. The first reference is to Doctor Who ("I'm actually a professor, not a doctor, thank you.") and the second is to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic which he names outright. There's no way to know if these kinds of references will continue into the actual show but they are still pretty cool to hear in this promotional video.

Are you excited to see the return of Fugitoid to the TMNT universe? Are you excited that David Tennant will be providing the voice? What other characters would you like to see make a return?
