The Eighth Doctor and River Song team up for a new Doctor Who audio adventure "Doctor Who: Doom Coalition 2"!

Doctor Who fans received some very surprising news today when a new audio adventure was announced that will have River Song (Alex Kingston) teaming up with the Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann)! The new audio play will be released by Big Finish and is titled "Doctor Who: Doom Coalition 2".

If you are a big Doctor Who fan you might be wondering how River Song could possibly meet the Eighth Doctor when the first time that he met her was as the Tenth Doctor in "Silence of the Library". If I had to guess at how this will work, I could see River jumping back in time and trying to help the Doctor and his then companions Liv Chenka and Helen Sinclair (played by Nicola Walker and Hattie Morahan) without them realizing that she is doing so and without them seeing her. This could possibly be quite difficult and could lend itself to some funny moments in the story.
