Find out more about Ahsoka Tano in the Star Wars Rebels featurette "The Padawan Lives: The Return of Ahsoka Tano".

Star Wars Rebels Season 2 is about to premiere and the new season is bringing back a fan favorite character, Ahsoka Tano.  In a special featurette Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka, and Dave Filoni, executive producer for Star Wars Rebels, discuss the character's return and her growth from Star Wars: The Clone Wars to Star Wars Rebels.

At the end of Season 1, Ahsoka revealed herself to be "Fulcrum" and we'll see her teaming up with the crew of the Ghost to help bring the rebellion to full strength. Speaking about where Ahsoka is now Eckstein states,
"Ahsoka in Clone Wars was more like Ezra. She was the student, she was the Padawan. Now she’s more of like the mentor, or the teacher. She’s more like Obi-Wan, or Yoda."
Dave Filoni explains that while Ahsoka may be trying to figure out what Ezra and Kanan are all about she is also trying to figure out what the Dark Side of the Force is up to because she has a nagging feeling that she is connected to it. The connection  of course is her connection to Darth Vader, aka Anakin Skywalker, her former master.

Fans are anticipating the inevitable fight between Ahsoka and Vader but Filoni confirms that one on one Darth Vader could defeat Ahsoka with no problem because he was the one who trained her. But he also reveals why Vader would hate her so much.
"Vader would look at Ahsoka and want to destroy her because she is a living memory of everything he once was and everything he once had."
One thing is for sure, this new season will be filled with surprises and I cannot wait to sit down and watch! I'll also not that I love that Filoni is drawing the three stages of Ahsoka's appearance throughout this whole video.

The Star Wars Rebels Season 2 premiere airs on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 9:00 PM ET on Disney XD.
