Chris Hemsworth is cast as the receptionist in Paul Feig's Ghostbusters!

Shocking news hit the internet tonight when director Paul Feig took to Twitter to reveal that actor Chris Hemswork (Thor, Avengers, Snow White and the Huntsman) has been cast in the upcoming Ghostbusters film!

Move over Janine Melnitz (played by actress Annie Potts) because Hemsworth has been cast as the team's receptionist! This of course keeps in line of the gender swapping roles that Feig has committed to in the new film.

Chris Hemsworth will join the four Ghostbusters being played by actresses Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon. This casting makes you wonder how far Feig will push the envelope with his casting for this film. With an all female Ghostbusters team and now a male receptionist could a female accountant to replace Louis Tully (played by actor Rick Moranis) be far behind? Of course there also has to be a male love interest for one of the Ghostbusters now. I am of course making light jokes about the situation but at this point nothing seems to be off the table.

How do you feel about the casting of Chris Hemsworth as the team's receptionist?

Ghostbusters is scheduled for a July 2016 release.
