Official trailer of Star Trek: Renegades is released!

Star Trek fans have been without a show on television since Enterprise was canceled in 2005 and have been longing for the franchise to return ever since. No network seemed to be interested so interestingly, former Star Trek stars got together to create their own show, Star Trek: Renegades. Renegades has been in production since 2012.

Actor Tim Russ (Star Trek: Voyager) has directed the pilot episode for Star Trek: Renegades and will appear in front of the camera as well. Russ is joined by many other Star Trek alumni for what seems like it will be an exciting web series. (Or if everything goes well, a television series on CBS.)
"Renegades will be a departure from previous Treks – delving into the dark side of the human psyche, pushing our heroes to their limits, forcing them to carry out actions that they never would have as Starfleet officers. The rules have changed, and they realize they might be the last hope to save the Federation. Star Trek: Renegades will be action oriented, filled with suspense and espionage; all while exploring new worlds, encountering both familiar and new alien species, and boldly going where no Trek has gone before."
There is currently no release date for this series but from the trailer you can see the the money raised during the projects crowdfunding on Kickstarter and Indiegogo was well used. Are you excited for the possible return of Star Trek with this all new adventure?
