Morena Baccarin is cast as the female lead in the Deadpool film!

Big news jut broke out concerning Tim Miller's Deadpool film. Actress Morena Baccarin (Firefly, Gotham) has been cast as the female lead opposite Ryan Reynolds as the title character.

"Baccarin was one of a handful of actresses shortlisted for the role of Reynolds' character's love interest. The character grapples with falling for a man with a hideously scarred face."

Although Baccarin's character is so far unknown could she be a civilian character as opposed to be a comic hero/villain? We'll have to wait and see for sure. (Some fan theories are pointing to the characters of Copy Cat or Domino.)
