Ryan Reynolds confirmed to be Deadpool in the new film!
Fox recently announced, to many fans' excitement, that they will be releasing a Deadpool film in 2016. The character was first introduced in X-Men Origins: Wolverine but failed to live up to fan expectation. Actor Ryan Reynolds succeeded as the character Wade Wilson with his quick wit but the actual character of Deadpool was less than satisfying. This had nothing to do with Reynolds however.
It appears now that Ryan Reynolds will be getting a second chance to play the "merc with a mouth" as Deadline confirmed that Fox was in final talks with Reynolds to play the title character in their Deadpool film. This news along with Reynolds' earlier tweet (seen below) confirms that the actor will be back to play Deadpool and this is amazing news!
The film will be directed by Tim Miller with a script written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The film is scheduled to start production this March with a release scheduled for February 2016.
