Krysten Ritter cast to be the title character Jessica Jones in Marvel's new Netflix series!

Big news for Marvel fans today as it is revealed that actress Krysten Rittter (Breaking Bad, Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23) has been cast as Jessica Jones for the upcoming Jessica Jones Netflix series from Marvel.

"Spearheaded by Melissa Rosenberg, the 13-episode drama — the second in a four-series Netflix-Marvel deal — centers on Jessica Jones, a superhero suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, which leads to her hanging up her costume and opening her own detective agency, where she ends up helping people and assisting other superheroes."

Jessica Jones is the second of five Marvel television shows to hit Netflix alongside the currently filming Daredevil. The other shows will be centered around "Luke Cage" and "Iron First" with all four coming together for a "Defenders" mini-series.
