Set photos from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice may reveal some big surprises for the film!

New set photos from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice may have just revealed a major plot point of the film. Filming started on the new Zack Snyder film and recent photos have revealed the construction of a huge Superman statue. Although it is cool to see a large statue constructed for Superman, possibly as a thank you for saving Earth in Man of Steel (though he destroyed much of a major city in the process), nothing was really given away about the story of the new film. The new photos on the other hand may be a different story.

The new set photos may contain spoilers so if you want to remain spoiler free I would stop reading now.

Last chance!

Okay, if you are still reading this you are okay with the potential spoilers.

The film was shooting in Pontiac, Michigan and photos of news vans from both Metropolis and Gotham were seen on set including the massive Superman statue. Or what was left of it. It appears that the statue is now in pieces with various heroes in uniform (police, military, ect.) laying down flowers on the site of the crumbled statue.

Could the rumors that Doomsday would be appearing in this film be true and what we are witnessing is a memorial to the Man of Steel? Could we see Superman die in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the return of Superman in Justice League?

On the other hand this could be a memorial of civilians who died in the big fight at the site of the statue. Or maybe the people of Earth just think that Superman is dead. There are many different scenarios that could lead to these photos but the appearance of Doomsday and Superman's death is the most exciting!
