A very exciting announcement was made today that not only was a new species of dinosaur discovered but scientists believe that it could be the largest known animal to ever walk the Earth.

While on a dig in Argentina, scientists unearthed fossils of a new species of herbivore that measures "40 meters (131 feet) from head to tail, stood 20 meters tall (65 feet) and weighed 77 metric tons (about 170,000 pounds)".
"Dubbed Titanosaurs, the specimens belong to a distinct group of sauropod dinosaurs that were characterized by their enormous stature and long necks and tails, and lived around 95 million years ago during the late Mesozoic Era. The fossil finds included bones from the dinosaurs' neck and back, along with pieces of the tail and legs."
It is simply amazing that discoveries like this can still be made today that prove to us that people are still learning and discovering new things about our planet every day. The world is an amazing place and this is just proof.
