The CW reveals the new suit that the Flash will wear in the new TV series "Flash"!

After teasing fans with a head shot of the Flash's new costume, the CW has finally revealed what the full costume will look like for the upcoming superhero show! Actor Grant Gustin will be playing Barry Allen, aka the Flash, in the show and is shown wearing the suit below.

This new costume was designed by Oscar winning costume designer Colleen Atwood. Atwood also helped design the costume for the Green Arrow on this hit CW show Arrow.

Speaking about the costume, director David Nutter who will be directing the Flash pilot stated,

“I hope the fans who treasure the character are as excited as we are by what costume designer Colleen Atwood has achieved with this latest version of The Flash’s iconic suit." 

Looking at the suit, it is exactly what you would expect a Flash suit to look like. I really like the gold trim and the lightning bolt on the legs. I absolutely love the lightning bolt chest logo and am glad that they kept it in the design. It was also a nice touch that they put a brighter red behind the bolt in the logo. The contrasting fabrics on the arms and shoulders are a great touch to the costume as you would want a fabric that can breath if you are running as fast as the Flash. Overall, they did an amazing job with this costume and it'll be fun to see in action (and at super speeds!)
